<br />
If you've wandered through Val'sharah looking for battle pets, you've probably come upon a Gleamhoof Fawn. However, hovering over the pet with your mouse might not have shown a little paw indicating that you could begin a pet battle with the creature to capture it.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">Tip: Simply left-click on the fawn, and the pet battle should begin. </span></div>
<br />
The fawn has a healing ability, so make sure you choose a pet that can hit the fawn but not obliterate it in a few hits. If your first trap fails and you have to damage it again to get it back below the capture threshold, a pet with a big attack can accidentally kill the fawn while it's still at low health.<br />
<br />
Not sure whether the lack of a pet battle indicator is a bug with this pet or whether it's meant to be like that, so players end up having to employ a little ingenuity to capture the pet.Selenorahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04712018868976017469noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8598963988641955625.post-74962702889971469922015-07-19T10:58:00.002-07:002015-07-19T10:58:37.410-07:00Patch 6.2: New World of Warcraft Battle Pets<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Patch 6.2 brings the new zone of Tanaan jungle to explore plus a new raid and other new goodies, and the developers have given us an awesomely large group of pets to battle, buy, and find.<br />
<br />
There's even a quest to get your own <a href="http://www.wowhead.com/npc=91823/fel-pup" target="_blank">Fel Pup</a>, which is one of the neatest looking pets added to the game recently (because who needs another snake, rate, or beetle, right?).<br />
<br />
Here's a quick rundown of the pets you'll want to seek out in patch 6.2 and where to find (or buy) them.<br />
<br />
<h2>
Pets Galore in Your Garrison</h2>
The first place to go for pets is your garrison. Your level three garrison menagerie will feature a few new tenants including "Exotic Pets and Accessories" vendor Giada Goldleash and<br />
<br />
The pets and pet toys available from Giada are purchasable with pet charms. New pets include:<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li><b>Bloodthorn Hatchling</b> (50 pet charms)</li>
<li><b>Dusty Sporewing</b> (50 pet charms)</li>
<li><b>Glowing Sporebat</b> (50 pet charms)</li>
<li><b>Lost Netherpup</b> (200 pet charms)</li>
</ul>
<br />
You can also buy a "Magic Pet Mirror," an "Indestructible Bone," or a "Spirit Wand" as toys for your pets. The Spirit Wand looks pretty awesome since it turns your companion pet into a spectral version. Cool!<br />
<br />
<b><i>Note: If you're alliance, your pet vendor will be named Tiffy Trapspring.</i></b><br />
<br />
You'll also want to be on the lookout for a garrison mission that will reward you with a <b>Cinder Pup</b>. Additionally, a vendor named Trader Darakk (for Horde) or Trader Araanda (for Alliance) will sell you a pet named <b>Crusher</b>. The pet costs 1000g.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihsVK1zte220N9uHDs4gKVbnuaqKs3ScTN89odW5lXUT838y5ztBEbDDFtxZipl-jRAjDiJRw2xFDkr6uC_gRynvrttb2yO_6_jt7VALhG8Woxpi9SgmwUndW2ujlq5WAYCiDiacVeDwk/s1600/patch6.2-02.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="137" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihsVK1zte220N9uHDs4gKVbnuaqKs3ScTN89odW5lXUT838y5ztBEbDDFtxZipl-jRAjDiJRw2xFDkr6uC_gRynvrttb2yO_6_jt7VALhG8Woxpi9SgmwUndW2ujlq5WAYCiDiacVeDwk/s400/patch6.2-02.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
After you build your shipyard, look for a naval mission called "Orphaned Aquatic Animal Rescue," which will reward you with the <b>Left Shark</b> pet, which is a reference to Katy Perry's performance at the Superbowl Halftime Show.<br />
<br />
Hopefully, you've fished your way to a level three Fishing Shack (I haven't, boooo!), because you can catch a Felmouth Frenzy Lunker, which is something Nat Pagle will have an interest in - he'll get you access to a <b>Sea Calf</b> and a <b>Land Shark</b>.<br />
<br />
<h2>
New Pets in Tanaan Jungle and Beyond</h2>
There are four new regular pets you can find crawling about in Tanaan Jungle for you to catch, and the density of level-100 mobs means it's helpful to go find these pets if you're well-geared or a stealth class (I often use my rogue to stalk my pet prey).<br />
<br />
Put these four pets on your list when you visit Tanaan Jungle:<br />
<br />
<ol>
<li><b>Bloodbeak</b> (Flyer)</li>
<li><b>Cerulean Moth</b> (Flyer)</li>
<li><b>Violet Firefly</b> (Flyer)</li>
<li><b>Fen Crab</b> (Aquatic)</li>
</ol>
<br />
<b><i>Bonus!</i></b> There's a quest called "A Fel Pup of My Own," which will reward you with the <b>Fel Pup</b>. To get the pup, you'll want to kill a mob named Ceraxas who lives in the Temple of Sha'naar.<br />
<br />
Go to the southern area of the zone in the west to find the temple. After you kill Ceraxas, an "Abandoned Fel Pup" will appear with a quest icon above its head.<br />
<br />
Additionally, there are several "fel-corrupted" legendary pets around Tanaan Jungle for you to defeat. After defeating any one of these legendary pets, you'll get a goodie bag that has gold, pet charms, and pet bandages.<br />
<br />
You can also get a fel-touched battle-training stone, which will give any pet you choose 5 levels instantly. The legendary reward bag also has a chance to include one of these four pets:<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li><b>Nightmare Bell</b></li>
<li><b>Periwinkle Calf</b></li>
<li><b>Seaborne Spore</b></li>
<li><b>Zangar Spore</b></li>
</ul>
<br />
Very cool! Beating all the legendary pets will also reward you with the achievement Tiny Terrors in Tanaan.<br />
<br />
Also, after you've completed all your quest lines in Tanaan Jungle, look for the quest "Treasure: Cipher Shard." This quest is only available after you've done all the quests; you'll get ported out of the area where the quest is located if you try to access it early.<br />
<br />
Your pet reward will be the Shard of Cyrukh, which is a tribute to the quest chain in the Burning Crusade-era quest chain that eventually led players to kill Cyrukh the Firelord. Do you remember that quest? I do, so many years ago :)<br />
<br />
If you're a raider, you can also try for the <b>Corrupted Nest Guardian</b>, which drops from Shadow-Lord Iskar in Hellfire Citidel.<br />
<br />
<h2>
New Darkmoon Faire Pets</h2>
I'll cover these pets more in detail when the Darkmoon Faire arrives again, but for now, know that you'll want to get your fishing pole ready to catch a bevy of Darkmoon Daggermaw, which are used as currency at the Faire.<br />
<br />
You can purchase leashes for <b>Blorp</b> (a fish) for 50 Darkmoon Daggermaw or the <b>Ghostshell Crab</b> (your own mini Ghostcrawler) for 100 Darkmoon Daggermaw.<br />
<br />
You'll also want to play the "Whack a Mole" game at the Darkmoon Faire since there's an achievement called That's Whack, which will reward you with a mini Hogger pet named <b>Hogs</b>.<br />
<br />
Have I missed any pets? Let me know, and I'll add them to this list (and where to find them)!Selenorahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04712018868976017469noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8598963988641955625.post-60820186330388298412015-04-04T20:09:00.003-07:002015-04-04T20:09:48.520-07:00Raiding with Leashes and Farming Black Temple for PetsSo, with the arrival of new pets in instances like Black Temple and The Sunwell, it's necessary to farm these easy legacy instances to get your "Raiding with Leashes III: Drinkin' From the Sunwell" achievement. Well, unless you're flush with gold and want to visit the auction house.<br />
<br />
For the achievement, you need the following pets:<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li>Grotesque</li>
<li>Abyssius</li>
<li>Fragment of Suffering</li>
<li>Sister of Temptation</li>
<li>Hyjal Wisp</li>
<li>Chaos Pup</li>
<li>Leviathan Hatchling</li>
<li>Fragment of Anger</li>
<li>Fragment of Desire</li>
<li>Stinkrot</li>
<li>Sunblade Micro-Defender</li>
<li>Wretched Servant</li>
</ul>
<br />
Since the patch dropped and added these pets to the game, I've been farming Black Temple (and other instances) with my rogue to get the pets and to also have a chance at the legendary. It's my opinion that the best class for farming legacy raids is a rogue because of the speed boost.<br />
<br />
I took a video of farming Black Temple, and it only took me around 17 minutes total. It'd be around 14 or 15 minutes if I didn't have to wait for so much talky-talk-talk between Akama and Illidan at the end.<br />
<br />
Here's the video (I added some soundtrack music just for fun). The breaks you see in the video are because I haven't bought the software and it cuts me off occasionally, which means I have to restart the video mid-run through Black Temple.<br />
<br />
<i>(Yes, I know my key bindings are weird. I'm left handed and my key bindings are for my right hand while my left hand uses the mouse.)</i><br />
<br />
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the video! I just made it for fun :)<br />

<br />
I've farmed BT and Sunwell quite a few times so far. It's taking forever to get the Fragments. But they are REALLY cool pets! Take a look at the Fragment of Anger I got this week (click on the picture to make it bigger):<br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Ashlei is as vicious as a teddy bear.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
Grand Master Pet Tamer Ashlei is the Farmer Nishi of this expansion, and she's exactly who you want to fight if you want to level up level one pets. She uses a team that features a goat named Tally, a dragon named Pixiebell, and a stuffed elephant named Doodle. None of these pets hits hard, and each has a weakness that can be exploited by your favorite pwning pet, the Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling.<br />
<br />
You'll find Ashlei in Shadowmoon Valley in the north-central part of the zone:<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-ugtULG8XX7exdW_kxiOcJh5oUmqertu0F2qYmUKI751pEXRKmi0Kzs3F8fP16bXo_5SUhXb30aKxQhjdpbFFlicsKm2gn14u20HYj6rbAj7N9d4aS6tn15pi7vfRYIH31v59N1Bf9yA/s1600/ashlei02.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-ugtULG8XX7exdW_kxiOcJh5oUmqertu0F2qYmUKI751pEXRKmi0Kzs3F8fP16bXo_5SUhXb30aKxQhjdpbFFlicsKm2gn14u20HYj6rbAj7N9d4aS6tn15pi7vfRYIH31v59N1Bf9yA/s1600/ashlei02.png" height="283" width="400" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Find Ashlei in Shadowmoon Valley.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
Essentially, this is a 1-pet battle. Your Dragonling will seriously kill the entire opposing team, and all you have to do is slot in your level 1 for a single turn when you're facing Doodle (who doesn't actually attack you) to boost your pet up to around level 11. You can also use a higher level pet and you should get anywhere between 3 and 5 levels, depending on the level of your lowbie pet.<br />
<br />
Essentially, you'll just span Breath on whatever you're facing while throwing out a Decoy or two just for fun. Switch in your lowbie pet when Doodle (the elephant) comes out and then switch right back to your Dragonling for more pwnge.<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Your team is the Dragonling + anything else you want.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
I've done this pretty reliably with my Dragonling making it to the end alive after having been killed once and resurrecting. Hands down, the easiest fight, and it's awesome for leveling up your lowbies. I take a level 1 each day and get it to level 11.Selenorahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04712018868976017469noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8598963988641955625.post-11827579699030490712015-01-25T15:53:00.001-08:002015-01-25T15:53:47.597-08:00Exciting Battle Pet Changes for Patch 6.1<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghMxz7rq4-DE-PDqna4t7cu1wx_JuDDC92J3uHNcXxyng0zQrmI0kqPgc_Os2NfpGsRlW_X1lbWwKYpplZ9MUa2EKFVLn_TVcc7zCPt9HgziVKFL_BoyZCSMHJocGwVxVt0WlZJfVA6WM/s1600/ptr.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghMxz7rq4-DE-PDqna4t7cu1wx_JuDDC92J3uHNcXxyng0zQrmI0kqPgc_Os2NfpGsRlW_X1lbWwKYpplZ9MUa2EKFVLn_TVcc7zCPt9HgziVKFL_BoyZCSMHJocGwVxVt0WlZJfVA6WM/s1600/ptr.jpg" height="142" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
As is not surprising, we should see a variety of new pets coming out with patch 6.1, and the PTR notes also suggest a variety of updates and changes might also be on the way for Draenor pet battles.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: x-large;">Garrisons, Followers, and Outposts</span></b><br />
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
<b>New Garrison Visitors: </b><i>For the Pet Battlers out there, there's a separate chance for an additional visitor offering unique Pet Battles with a chance to award a bag containing Pet Battle items and new Battle Pets.</i></blockquote>
The pets you might face in this new pet battle are random, and from what's been seen thus far in the PTR, each pet has 6 abilities and will use 3 of those abilities - at random - in each fight. It should keep things pretty interesting!<br />
<br />
Pets you might face with this new random daily include: Mal, Bones, Enbi'see, Carl, Dusty, Mouthy, Nicodemus, Prince Charming, Runts, Salad, Spores, Sprouts. <b>Pets you can get as a reward include Young Talbuk, Slithershock Elver, & a Bone Serpent.</b><br />
<br />
Personally, I'm coming up on 4 level 100 characters... I suppose an extra few pet battles each day will just need to be added to my daily quota!<br />
<b><br /></b>
<b><span style="font-size: x-large;">Garrison Buildings</span></b><br />
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
<b>Menagerie: </b><i>Reduced the difficulty of quests to unlock the Menagerie, elite pet challenges, and pet battle daily quests.</i></blockquote>
Seriously? I'm surprised. The gateway quests to open the menagerie were really easy, and none of the daily pet quests have proven impossible or too frustrating. You'd think they'd leave a little challenge in the game...<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: x-large;">Pet Battles</span></b><br />
<ul>
<li><i>New battle pets have been added to Black Temple, Caverns of Time: Hyjal Summit, and Sunwell Plateau along with a new achievement, Raiding with Leashes III: Drinkin' From the Sunwell to collect them all. Completing the achievement to collect all the new Battle Pets will award a Naaru pet.</i></li>
<li><i>Level 100 characters with a Tier-3 Garrison will now receive an <a href="http://ptr.wowhead.com/item=122457/ultimate-battle-training-stone" target="_blank">item in the mail</a> that increases a single Battle Pet's level to 25.</i></li>
</ul>
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: x-large;">New Boss Drops</span></b><br />
<br />
New drops (and their associated pets in parentheses) include:<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li>Grotesque Statue (Grotesque) drops from Azgalor in Hyjal Summit</li>
<li>Fragment of Anger drops from Reliquary of Souls in Black Temple</li>
<li>Fragment of Suffering drops from Reliquary</li>
<li>Fragment of Desire drops from Reliquary</li>
<li>Hyjal Wisp drops from Archimonde in Hyjal Summit</li>
<li>Leviathan Egg drops from Naj'entus in Black Temple</li>
<li>Servant's Bell (Wretched Servant) drops from the twins in Sunwell Plateau</li>
<li>Shard of Supremus (Abyssius) drops from Supremus in Black Temple</li>
<li>Smelly Gravestone (Stinkrot) drops from Anetheron in Hyjal Summit</li>
<li>Sultry Grimoire (Sister of Temptation) drops from Mother in Black Temple</li>
<li>Sunblade Rune of Activation (Sunblade Micro-Defender) drops from Butallus in SP</li>
<li>Void Collar (Chaos Pup) drops from M'uru in Sunwell Plateau</li>
</ul>
<br />
Now, I'll have even more reason to farm Black Temple with my rogue for her glaives! Supremus better give up his pet immediately. I CANNOT wait to have a miniature Supremus!<br />
<br />
Note that all of these raids are REALLY soloable. You essentially never take any damage even if you pull half the instance and AOE everything at once.<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: x-large;"><b>Achievements</b></span><br />
<br />
When you collect all the pets listed above, you'll get the achievement:<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li><b>Raiding with Leashes III: Drinkin' from the Sunwell</b></li>
</ul>
<br />
You'll also get a pet named K'ute, which is apparently a mini Naaru like A'dal who floats in the middle of Shattrath.Selenorahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04712018868976017469noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8598963988641955625.post-75805231037835690772015-01-16T17:57:00.000-08:002015-01-16T17:57:32.325-08:00Draenor Safari Achievement Guide + ExtrasThe Draenor Safari achievement will have you traveling around most of the continent to pick up various battle pets, and you'll have the opportunity to get a few extras from boss drops and looting. Fortunately, none of these pets are too terribly difficult to obtain.<br />

It doesn't look like we'll ever have another Scourged Whelpling fiasco on our hands again (do you know how many days of /played my Death Knight hovered above Ice Crown?!?)<br />
<br />
Below, you'll find the pets that should be in each zone (there's some cross-over of common pets, but primarily, these are the locations you'll find them). I have 90+ Alliance and Horde, so I'm able to cross over into all the zones without too much trouble.<br />
<br />
However, if you've only got max-level (or 90+) toons, I'd suggest approaching Frostfire Ridge and Shadowmoon Valley from the water.<br />
<br />
And, doing so as a Death Knight (with Path of Frost) or a Warlock (with a glyphed Dreadsteed) is usually easiest. I used my Dreadsteed on my Hord elock to get to Shadowmoon Valley with ease. Much easier than going via land and getting by oodles of mobs on your way (level 100 mobs, too!).<br />

<br />
<br />
<div>
You'll find six pets (five through battles and one through a drop) in Frostfire Ridge.</div>
<div style="font-weight: bold;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Frostfur Rat</span></b> - Around Stonefang Outpost north of the Horde garrison, as well as all around Colossal's Fall to the north.<br />
<div>
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Frostshell Pincher</span></b> - Southeast of Wor'gol, which is on the western side of the zone. They just spawn in that one spot, as far as I'm aware.</div>
<div>
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Icespine Hatchling</span></b> - Around the middle of the zone, tons just north of the Horde Garrison, as well as all around The Crackling Plains in the center of Frostfire.</div>
<div>
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Ironclaw Scuttler</span></b> - In the trench north of Stonefang Outpost, as well as just to the east of Bladespire Fortress. Easier to find near Bladespire, in my opinion.</div>
<div>
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Twilight Wasp</span></b> - Various spawns around Stongfang Outpost, as well as around Colassal's Fall in the north. Also spawns in Gorgrond.</div>
<div>
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Extra Pet: Fruit Hunter</span></b> - Get it from an egg in Grom'Gar that takes 3 days to hatch. Here's a <a href="http://warcraftpettricks.blogspot.com/2014/11/get-your-fruit-hunter-from-mysterious.html">guide</a> on how to get your Fruit Hunter.<br />
<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
Gorgrond features several pets, as well as a few that you'll get as drops instead of pet battles.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Amberdab Wasp</span></b> - Located to the east of Everbloom Wilds, as well as all around Tangleheart to the southeast. Lots in Everbloom.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Axebeak Hatchling</span></b> - Clustered south of Beastwatch with a few spawn points to the north south of Everbloom Wilds. Not too common. Just too many Wood Wasps, not enough Axebeaks.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Junglebeak</span></b> - Many spawn points all along the eastern side of Gorgrond. Also a small cluster to the east of Blackrock Foundry (not worth it to travel there though just for a Junglebeak).<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Mudback Calf</span></b> - Very cute pet! I found mine around Evermorn Springs in the south, but you can also find them northeast of High Pass. Seems to have a terrible spawn rate for green/blue quality.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Wood Wasp</span></b> - Same pet-infested area as many of the other Gorgrond pets - just southeast of Beastwatch. Doesn't seem to be too terribly common, but not impossible to find.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Extra Pet: Parched Lizard</span></b> - This pet isn't on the achievement (go figure), but you can still get it, which should help you reach the 600 unique pets achievement. Look for it in desert type areas.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Extra Pet: Doom Bloom</span></b> - Get it from a boss drop in the middle of Gorgrond. Here's a <a href="http://warcraftpettricks.blogspot.com/2014/11/get-your-doom-bloom-from-gorgrond.html">guide</a> on how to find your Doom Bloom.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Extra Pet: Crimson Spore</span></b> - Loot this pet from a spore within Tangleheart. Here's a <a href="http://warcraftpettricks.blogspot.com/2014/12/how-to-get-crimson-spore-in-gorgrond.html">guide</a> on how to get your Crimson Spore.<br />
<br />
Other pets you'll randomly find in Gorgrond (which you've probably seen all over the Warcraft universe at this point) include Gold Beetles, Silkbead Snails, Brouwn Marmots, and Cockroaches. As if this game needed any more spawn points with Cockroaches...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWDWfpNWBbV2zV4XBGLG1qv6l1WHhhKwApMiK8vIv4H_PVzNAQU7swQSCs0A0rILsWCs-7UiktiIP8uh_oUv2y-bhC07ouoHKrRObbazoENYcRV180JjbhBYaBkeawohv05zPMav-jHO0/s1600/03+Nagrand.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWDWfpNWBbV2zV4XBGLG1qv6l1WHhhKwApMiK8vIv4H_PVzNAQU7swQSCs0A0rILsWCs-7UiktiIP8uh_oUv2y-bhC07ouoHKrRObbazoENYcRV180JjbhBYaBkeawohv05zPMav-jHO0/s1600/03+Nagrand.png" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Leatherhide Runt</span></b> - This is the only pet in Nagrand (via wild capture) that's only available in this one zone. Anywhere Clefthoof spawn (all over the zone), you'll have a chance to find Leatherhide Runts.<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>Extra Pet: Meadowstomper Calf</b> </span>- Available through a quest line. You'll need to begin the Nagrand quests as they're presented to you during the leveling process to get the quest. Here's a <a href="http://warcraftpettricks.blogspot.com/2014/12/get-your-meadowstomper-calf-in-nagrand.html">guide</a> on getting it.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Extra Pet: Netherspawn, Spawn of Netherspawn</span></b> - Drops from a mob named (obviously) Netherspawn. Easy to get, 100% drop rate. Guide on finding him <a href="http://warcraftpettricks.blogspot.com/2015/01/get-your-netherspawn-spawn-of.html">here</a>.<br />
<br />
Since there are two Nagrands (one in the Burning Crusade and the other in Warlords of Draenor), it's easy to get these two zones mixed up and what pets are available on WOD content. While the Clefthoof Runt is what you'll find in BC Nagrand, its counterpart in WOD Nagrand is the Leatherhide Runt.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgB3IraUb8Vzv4R8CeA-sqk7Jh1tMQv4hbteGRNAASanT3bW83NXDkpTcM0B2JdEEXLU87lZnE-ugvhgbU-irDw3YkGuHw6cr7ME5AReYhTJJMKIa6klhY3xVR80W9B33fJS8jeqn2XnPE/s1600/04+Shadowmoon+Valley.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgB3IraUb8Vzv4R8CeA-sqk7Jh1tMQv4hbteGRNAASanT3bW83NXDkpTcM0B2JdEEXLU87lZnE-ugvhgbU-irDw3YkGuHw6cr7ME5AReYhTJJMKIa6klhY3xVR80W9B33fJS8jeqn2XnPE/s1600/04+Shadowmoon+Valley.png" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Shadowmoon Valley is another area where there's a Burning Crusade version (full of pets) and a Warlords of Draenor version. If you've been collecting pets for a while, you probably have everything that the old Shadowmoon has to offer, and a few pets in the new Shadowmoon are a little bit hard to get...<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>Moonshell Crab</b></span> - Easiest to find along the eastern shore to the east of Elodor. All in the northeastern quadrant of the zone.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Mossbite Skitterer</span></b> - These pets have a habit of spawning as a secondary pet around Socrethar's Rise. You might have to fight a few random pets until you get one.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Zangar Crawler</span></b> - All along the coast. Really easy to find. You can fight them on the same island where you get the Zomstrok drop.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Extra Pet: Strange Spore</span></b> - Similar to the Crimson Spore in Gorgrond, the Strange Spore also comes out of a spore that you'll need to do some jumping to reach. Guide to reach it <a href="http://warcraftpettricks.blogspot.com/2014/12/how-to-get-crimson-spore-in-gorgrond.html">here</a>.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Extra Pet: Zomstrok</span></b> - Unfortunately, this pet isn't a 100% drop rate and you actually have to do some old fashioned camping/farming. To farm him, go to the island that's southwest of Socrethar's Rise. Just kill everything on the island until you get him...<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Extra Pet: Demidos</span></b> - He drops from an elite mob of the same name on Socrethar's Rise. Have fun farming this one, too, because it's not a 100% drop rate.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdDzAs17B-d5x94qxNFq_BP8ypuubHsCD-ywrtTbcrBk_2mZw-H2_XzrbXuspKL3-w_Uag3ecJwAUVz-UWgcABkpOucDP1d1yBcOveEx-3-VvLhJXC2dnFuXoyOsfz1LXXCXoNAYvjqNg/s1600/05+Spires+of+Arak.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdDzAs17B-d5x94qxNFq_BP8ypuubHsCD-ywrtTbcrBk_2mZw-H2_XzrbXuspKL3-w_Uag3ecJwAUVz-UWgcABkpOucDP1d1yBcOveEx-3-VvLhJXC2dnFuXoyOsfz1LXXCXoNAYvjqNg/s1600/05+Spires+of+Arak.png" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Spires of Arak has some beautiful spots, but a lot of it's pretty dark and depressing. You'll find several pets in Arak from pet battles, as well as a few vendor pets, and some others.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Bloodsting Wasp</span></b> - When you get the quest to go to the Pinchwhistle Gearworks, just travel north from the flight point and you'll see lots of them all up the zone.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Golden Dawnfeather</span></b> - Pretty common throughout the zone. Mostly in the valley-type areas instead of the mountainous places. A good few groups around Southport, as well as Veil Zekk.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Swamplighter Firefly</span></b> - Lots along the eastern coast of the zone, as well as around The Writhing Mire. If you go do the quests at Pinchwhistle Gearworks (and you will if you want your Salvage building for your garrison), you'll find tons of these along the coast.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Thicket Skitterer</span></b> - Lots found all over the middle of Spires of Arak. Wander around the middle of the zone and you can't miss them.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Extra Pet: Hydraling</span></b> - Drops from a mob named Varasha in a tunnel around The Writhing Mire. Here's a <a href="http://warcraftpettricks.blogspot.com/2014/12/get-hydraling-from-varashas-egg-in.html">guide</a> on finding your Hydraling.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Extra Pet: Ikky from Kaliri Egg</span></b> - You need to start a quest chain in Spires to get this pet. You'll come upon the quest naturally if you quest in the zone. It begins at a point just east of Axefall.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Extra Pet: Kaliri Hatchling</span></b> - Buy from Vesharr, the daily pet quest NPC in Spires of Arak. Costs 10 gold. You can find a guide on him <a href="http://warcraftpettricks.blogspot.com/2014/11/beat-vesharr-warlords-of-draenor-grand.html">here</a>. Beat him once and then he'll sell to you.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Extra Pet: Veilwatcher Hatchling</span></b> - Another purchase from Vesharr. Costs a hefty 1,000 gold, but if you're a pet collector, it's not too much... and you'll get a discount once you get Revered/Exalted with the Arakkoa Outcasts.<br />
<br />
<b>Note:</b> You might notice "Son of Sethe" listed as a Spires of Arak pet, but he's actually a vendor pet you get with Arakkoa reputation. The vendor is in your capital city in Ashran which means Warspear for Horde and Stormshield for Alliance. He costs gold and apexis crystals. As far as I can tell, you don't get a reputation discount with this pet.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgm4gim_AeRhKozvfdfD7HN7NrW1DzXcR8adrnZTiHB4BW_4dbOACrcHtxhemvAhpM5mVQFocTg-elHIXGte_CEimTVjlOpY4Ni6zbhfpDjp-hi3NqWKPRD_Be1fQtgSYpp9_N9t1KeFOc/s1600/06+Talador.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgm4gim_AeRhKozvfdfD7HN7NrW1DzXcR8adrnZTiHB4BW_4dbOACrcHtxhemvAhpM5mVQFocTg-elHIXGte_CEimTVjlOpY4Ni6zbhfpDjp-hi3NqWKPRD_Be1fQtgSYpp9_N9t1KeFOc/s1600/06+Talador.png" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Talador has a bunch of pets in it, and it's also got a few extra drops from mobs and looted objects.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Brilliant Bloodfeather</span></b> - Littered throughout the zone. You can't go five yards without running into one of these little birds. Lots around the first questing areas in the zone - Fort Wrynn and Voljin's Pride.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Flat-Tooth Calf</span></b> - Found near the water just to the east of the Tomb of Lights. So puffy! So cute! One of the cuter pets this expansion has had to offer. Unfortunately, IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Kelp Scuttler</span></b> - As you'd expect, lots along the coast. You can find them all along the southwestern coastline, as well as on the northern coastline.<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>Mud Jumper</b> </span>- All around the rivers and islands in the eastern half of the zone. Tons of Mud Jumpers... no Flat-Tooth Calf spawns... *kicks pebble*<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Royal Moth</span></b> - The Royal Moth also hangs out in Shadowmoon, and you'll find tons all around the zone in Talador. Just about as common as the Brilliant Bloodfeather.<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>Shadow Sporebat</b></span> - Spawn point is around Zangarra. Seems to be an inconsistent spawn, but probably a nighttime pet spawn.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Waterfly</span></b> - Inland waterways have lots of Waterflies. Tons of them (they, too, seem to spawn in great numbers instead of the Flat-Tooth Calf). They also spawn in Shadowmoon Valley.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Extra Pet: Eye of Observation</span></b> - You'll need some friends to get this pet. He drops from Orumo the Observer, and a full party needs to step on the runes. The pet isn't a 100% drop.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Extra Pet: Stonegrinder</span></b> - Easy to find in northern Talador. He's a pretty neat little mechanical pet. I created a guide <a href="http://warcraftpettricks.blogspot.com/2014/11/get-your-stonegrinder-in-taladar.html">here</a> to help you find him.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Extra Pet: Teroclaw Hatchling</span></b> - Another easy to find pet. You'll see little nests of eggs all around Talador - particularly near the starting quest hubs for each faction. Here's a <a href="http://warcraftpettricks.blogspot.com/2014/11/get-your-teroclaw-hatchling-in-talador.html">guide</a> on how to get your Hatchling.<br />
<br />
So, after flying all around Warlords of Draenor collecting these pets, you should get your achievement, Darenor Safari. As of this writing, I'm still working on that dumb Flat-Tooth Calf...<br />
<br />
<b>Hint:</b> Want to know which pets from a certain zone you have and which you're missing? Just type the name of the zone in the search bar of the Pet Journal. So, for Gorgrond (for example), just type Gorgrond and you'll get a list of all the pets that drop in that zone. That way, you don't need to type in every single pet name individually to see if you've got it!<br />
<br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Sitting with my Crazy Carrot in my Garrison</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
The Crazy Carrot costs a crazy number of "Draenic Seeds," and I started saving up for this carrot pet as soon as I realized it was on the vendor that appears when you build your herb garden in your garrison.<br />
<br />
It costs 1,000 of these seeds, and if you don't herb anywhere but in your garrison, it'll take you a few solid months to save up the seeds for the pet. A vendor named Tarnon sells this pet in your herb garden if you're Horde. Alliance will get their pet from a vendor named Naron Bloomthistle.<br />
<br />

<br />
With Warlords of Draenor released on 13 November 2014, it's now 9 January 2015 as I write this, and I've farmed herbs from my garden virtually every single day since release (there were about three or four days where I didn't herb because of travel).<br />
<br />
So, it takes almost two months, by my estimates, to get this pet if you don't otherwise have an herbalist going out into Draenor to get more herbs and seeds.<br />
<br />

The Crazy Carrot is an Elemental pet, and he has a variety of damage types including Humanoid, Elemental, and Aquatic damage. He's also got a stun ability called Bash and a cleanse called Aged Yolk which removes all debuffs (and buffs) from the carrot.<br />
<br />
He looks remarkably like the Terrible Turnip from Mists of Pandaria, although he looks a little more orangish while the Turnip is a little pinkish.Selenorahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04712018868976017469noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8598963988641955625.post-1983736962134604822015-01-05T12:02:00.001-08:002015-01-11T10:58:29.808-08:00Beat Tarr the Terrible Warlords of Draenor Grand Master Pet Tamer<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<br />
Tarr the Terrible lives in a hut in northern Nagrand, and he's right near The Ring of Blood. Just fly to one of the northern flight points in Nagrand and head north into the ogre area. It helps if you use a stealthie to get past hostile level 100 mobs. I used my rogue to find Tarr the first time I fought him. I used the "Joz's Rylaks" flight point.<br />

Tarr has three pets which include:<br />
<ul>
<li>Gladiator Murkimus</li>
<li>Gladiator Murkalot</li>
<li>Gladiator Deathy</li>
</ul>
Each of these little dudes is a Humanoid, so not surprisingly, using some Undead pets is the way to go against this pet tamer. Tarr's team has a few hard-hitting abilities, so I decided to use an Anubisath Idol and its deflection ability; however, I think any pet with a reflect would do fine. Perhaps a Flayer Youngling.<br />
<br />
My team included the Anubisath Idol, a Restless Shadeling, and a Fossilized Hatchling. However, I think almost any Undead peat would be fine. I like to use my Shadeling as much as possible since he's such a cool looking pet.<br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">I used an Anubisath Idol, Restless Shadeling, and Fossilized Hatchling.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
To begin, you'll bring out your Anubisath Idol (or whatever pet you have with a reflection ability) so you can avoid getting hit by "Falling Murloc," which has a crazy big graphic. Then, you can switch to your Restless Shadeling and cast Plagued Blood and a Bunch of Death Coils. Just keep Plagued Blood up and cast Death Coil until your Shadeling dies. Try to cast Plagued Blood right before you die so it'll last a while for your next pet.<br />
<br />
When the Shadeling dies, bring out your Fossilized Hatchling and cast Death and Decay followed by some Bone Bite spam. By the time your Fossilized Hatchling dies, Murkimus should be the only pet left, and you can bring your Anubisath Idol out again with Deflection and Crush spam. I'd recommend using Deflection when Murkimus goes airborne to avoid the swoop of damage.<br />
<br />

<br />
If you've been treasure hunting around Draenor, you've probably found a few pets in your travels. Netherspawn, Spawn of Netherspawn is one pet you won't want to miss. He's a little Magic creature found in southwestern Nagrand.<br />
<br />
Since Nagrand is a zone for toons 98 and up, you'll either need a character close to max level to get to this pet, or you'll want to be a stealthy. I got him when I was already at level 100.<br />
<br />
The map below will show you where to go to find Netherspawn. You'll have to kill this giant blob, and then you'll be able to loot your small Netherspawn pet. If you have coordinates, Netherspawn hangs out around 47.6-70.7.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The engineering profession in Warlords of Draenor gives you access to three crafted pets, which are easy to buy on the auction house if none of your toons is an engineer. Personally, I'm always strapped for gold, so I took the time to craft my pets on my alt (my rogue is an engineer).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The pets are "gated" in a way because they require a BOP engineering material called Gearspring Parts. You can only make a handful of these parts each day, and each pet requires 50 or 30 Gearspring parts, in addition to another crafting material. However, as long as you're patient, it shouldn't take too long to craft all the pets, as long as you're not in a hurry to make your engineering goggles!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The Lifelike Mechanical Frostboar is a pretty awesome pet because it's not a common shape (it's not like you have 1,000 boars in your pet menagerie like you do snakes, squirrels, and rats!). You'll need 50 Gearspring parts and 40 Sumptuous Fur to make your Frostboar.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The Frostboar's abilities feature a variety of damage types including Mechanical damage, Humanoid damage, and Beast damage. He also has the Decoy ability (very helpful in many pet battles), as well as a heal that heals 100% of the damage dealt.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Your next available engineering pet is the Mechanical Axebeak, and he's easier to make than the Frostboar with just 50 Gearspring Parts required.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Interestingly, the Axebeak is actually a Flying pet even though it's crafted by engineers. The Mechanical Axebeak deals Flying, and Beast Damage, and he's also got the Decoy ability, just like the Frostboar. He also has Hawk Eye (which is a crit chance increase), which I feel is a "meh" talent.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Your third pet is the Mechanical Scorpid, and he's pretty easy to make with just 30 Gearspring Parts and 10 Blackrock Ore (which you should have tons of if you've been farming your garrison mine!).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
You've probably alrady got a few scorpids in your collection of pets, so you won't be wowed by the way this pet looks. It's a Mechanical that deals Beast damage, as well as some damage-over-time abilities.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Fortunately, the crafted pets available at the start of Warlords of Draenor are simple to make and require almost no farming. They just take a few days to craft the materials and are quite cheap if you make them on your own. After a while, they'll probably be pretty cheap on the AH as well.</div>

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDrSj1LxZop-RW2MedH-fvqLbQnTBpa3qM6ULHLIF0FH1o1fAEjyKmRKnbRQn-GeDKkbZuvuJF8n9LU8SnwYy1J9jjRH6ZOTDzAmNPq-MYf2dv_L8QwHqhU9jZwoRv09mp8FH7XuDc1Vw/s1600/WoWScrnShot_102314_200301.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDrSj1LxZop-RW2MedH-fvqLbQnTBpa3qM6ULHLIF0FH1o1fAEjyKmRKnbRQn-GeDKkbZuvuJF8n9LU8SnwYy1J9jjRH6ZOTDzAmNPq-MYf2dv_L8QwHqhU9jZwoRv09mp8FH7XuDc1Vw/s1600/WoWScrnShot_102314_200301.jpg" height="237" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I just leveled up my rogue and at level 100, I built her a pet menagerie (just like my main, a warlock). My rogue is my second level 100 toon, and I figured the daily quest from the pet menagerie building would be account wide.... but it's not!<br />
<br />
Therefore, don't neglect building your pet menagerie on your alts! You'll get to do the pet daily "Scrappin" with every menagerie you build!<br />
<br />
I can't decide if I feel like a noob learning this information or whether I should feel excited that I get more pet dailies.... probably a little bit of both!<br />
<br />
And, just for fun, because I'm bored today:<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYg1V6OVqwL2bcgQqGs9Ff0B1dTcdwQgn8Uk1-xkqMq94e85eOJpQCMYiObCWQ5lZ6YMQraqACYzRAdUsHab-s7uZ0zQFnc75jlktEOCS_uyiZ2rSX7MuakUjAjyTQv7hXR14COEvo4NU/s1600/sentinelscompanion01.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYg1V6OVqwL2bcgQqGs9Ff0B1dTcdwQgn8Uk1-xkqMq94e85eOJpQCMYiObCWQ5lZ6YMQraqACYzRAdUsHab-s7uZ0zQFnc75jlktEOCS_uyiZ2rSX7MuakUjAjyTQv7hXR14COEvo4NU/s1600/sentinelscompanion01.jpg" height="181" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
If you've installed the Inn in your garrison, you've got access to several quests with pet rewards. Being a pet collector, I decided to toss my lumber mill and install an inn instead. I wanted the lumber mill for the resources at first... but then I realized the inn is so much better! You can also get Millhouse Manastorm as a follower from the inn... definitely worth it. It seems like the trading post is better for resources than the lumber mill anyway.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiN3lopEfVMTh4eCpH3VZYbKUhe6cXPsPjwPIdomssYAl4t9meIC5SywhcujUdka0jCaEW47_gFWg0rglPA0rH3E2EzuR_UM_zJdvUJnf6bScG33LvtCm3VtLLGls9sW2rRSu6P-N2Jr2I/s1600/sentinelscompanion02.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiN3lopEfVMTh4eCpH3VZYbKUhe6cXPsPjwPIdomssYAl4t9meIC5SywhcujUdka0jCaEW47_gFWg0rglPA0rH3E2EzuR_UM_zJdvUJnf6bScG33LvtCm3VtLLGls9sW2rRSu6P-N2Jr2I/s1600/sentinelscompanion02.jpg" height="206" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
One quest you'll get will be called "The Huntress" and your reward will be a beautiful flying pet called the Sentinel's Companion. The quest will require you to pick up a quest item in the Shadowmoon Burial Ground instance and kill the last boss.<br />
<br />
If you look on your map when you're in the instance, you'll see where you need to go to pick up the item. It's sitting in the corner of that room with some candles, skulls, and bones. Just hover your mouse over it and you'll be able to pick it up. Overall, not hard in the least to get this pet, and it's beautiful!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirTW9McjQPb7fts2GyyiqhQgC0Qkwwt0HdP2ZfWquj-OFYYvOXEGgEHn5mF-FQSsNnEpNlBMQzGZjqVD3o8pdv3Oi2vYQ-zT3M4KKoGsrTeogR9Fmml6ke9_fy7yTbUsCk2Aas3i-suOY/s1600/sentinelscompanion03.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirTW9McjQPb7fts2GyyiqhQgC0Qkwwt0HdP2ZfWquj-OFYYvOXEGgEHn5mF-FQSsNnEpNlBMQzGZjqVD3o8pdv3Oi2vYQ-zT3M4KKoGsrTeogR9Fmml6ke9_fy7yTbUsCk2Aas3i-suOY/s1600/sentinelscompanion03.jpg" height="200" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
As a flyer, the Sentinel's Companion has some standard flyer type attacks like Peck and Nocturnal Strike. It's also got an evasion ability, an RNG stun, and Moonfire.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1U6caAonjcvgEyiks9IMpvy6zqfbyfjCS5kxILcy3D8gy2omQs5BDOJ1ryAEAF4pcIzCHgmxw0o1IiJK4lGuoHRwQM1djfgMKgxSuZJWgiT5HIo-lPT5c1CQ2ExG2Nkt2a9SVBLhuaeI/s1600/sentinelscompanion04.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1U6caAonjcvgEyiks9IMpvy6zqfbyfjCS5kxILcy3D8gy2omQs5BDOJ1ryAEAF4pcIzCHgmxw0o1IiJK4lGuoHRwQM1djfgMKgxSuZJWgiT5HIo-lPT5c1CQ2ExG2Nkt2a9SVBLhuaeI/s1600/sentinelscompanion04.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<b>REMEMBER:</b> You must kill the last boss of the instance! Don't hearth out early and leave the quest half-finished!<br />
<br />
Also, the inhabitants of the inn seem to come and go... at least for the level 2 tavern... if you pick the quest up and don't complete it the first day, you might need to wait a few days to turn it in when the NPC returns to your inn.<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgX4SRu-xDgG8fWUl-RFSzlty-NVO5LK3CLpkUdlRxy3__zTmUzt1suo_pQC6KG6x_ZGBJ1fzsiqApuUFs-4u4-97_xKTWDx2EIbgFw59yCdWjrYlkm7zSHeVOa1lbeQAG9m0ggiku1Svw/s1600/hydraliing01.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgX4SRu-xDgG8fWUl-RFSzlty-NVO5LK3CLpkUdlRxy3__zTmUzt1suo_pQC6KG6x_ZGBJ1fzsiqApuUFs-4u4-97_xKTWDx2EIbgFw59yCdWjrYlkm7zSHeVOa1lbeQAG9m0ggiku1Svw/s1600/hydraliing01.jpg" height="147" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
If you wander into The Writhing Mire in Spires of Arak, you can find an egg in a cave that will spawn a rare mob named Varasha. After you kill her, you can loot a nearby nest to get the Hydraling pet.<br />
<br />
I'm not gonna lie, this mob hit my 99 rogue pretty hard. I actually had to vanish the first time because cheat death proc'd. I've been mindlessly collecting treasures on my rogue for the crazy XP, and I just wandered into this cave to get the pet.<br />
<br />
Varasha is immune to stuns and incapacitates (gouge), so if you're reliant on stuns and control to kill (and you're trying to get this pet without gear at a level that's less than 100), make sure you're careful about the mechanics. Avoid the poison puddles and strafe when Varasha does her spew move.<br />
<br />
If I'd been paying more attention, I could have avoided more of this damage....<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHh24VYZ7669jdS-upQ8Gs82KXtP6X0_r070V2zIwLAIvLNT8Ya30qKxXISGEyJwtPI3TXzwS3MJuXpx61AqJJa5AOmzp9JnIkmeb4O_lVrn8hpArrkXseSAk8YX1W0b1SoysaLmd0AC8/s1600/hydraliing02.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHh24VYZ7669jdS-upQ8Gs82KXtP6X0_r070V2zIwLAIvLNT8Ya30qKxXISGEyJwtPI3TXzwS3MJuXpx61AqJJa5AOmzp9JnIkmeb4O_lVrn8hpArrkXseSAk8YX1W0b1SoysaLmd0AC8/s1600/hydraliing02.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
To get this pet, you'll travel to the western coast of Spires of Arak to The Writhing Mire. You should see a little "X" on your map that will let you know there's something to kill nearby. It might look like the X refers to a spot on the surface at the water's edge, but that's not the case.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwI8aalDx-UDRJrp-rw_r02fIZb4PdeCQxAqjlrNZM1jrCTxyY01UCc_xd7blP_LSJhUipJn0TljCGUVoLvg7w9HfBjZMrwA4NY25vx4iKEGSEakFw3MhKvq7lCOqWg7eDP1H0t4zE6XI/s1600/hydraliing04.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwI8aalDx-UDRJrp-rw_r02fIZb4PdeCQxAqjlrNZM1jrCTxyY01UCc_xd7blP_LSJhUipJn0TljCGUVoLvg7w9HfBjZMrwA4NY25vx4iKEGSEakFw3MhKvq7lCOqWg7eDP1H0t4zE6XI/s1600/hydraliing04.jpg" height="285" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
You actually want to go in the cave that's just beside the water. Inside the cave, you'll find a little pedestal and an egg. If you click on the egg, you'll spawn Varasha, she'll come marching into the cave, and you can kill her. After the kill, you'll need to loot the egg again to get the pet.<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The Hydraling is an Aquatic pet and he has an interesting skill set. He has some Aquatic attacks (as is expected), plus he has Call Lightning. It should be fun to level this pet and slot him in for some battles...</div>

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidKRC0zm9CqSiLB3MUoWONHgpgbYEb_FU5oCv24ibcf2ax5aBTHk_4QCYunV87mxWp5Pz2ulMoZHpQmiK69qMgbU9Ajs4cBD0OzufHXqOWwRU-nYFap1Pq28Qzkgw3Y17r5CRpfmHjRWY/s1600/brilliantspore01.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidKRC0zm9CqSiLB3MUoWONHgpgbYEb_FU5oCv24ibcf2ax5aBTHk_4QCYunV87mxWp5Pz2ulMoZHpQmiK69qMgbU9Ajs4cBD0OzufHXqOWwRU-nYFap1Pq28Qzkgw3Y17r5CRpfmHjRWY/s1600/brilliantspore01.jpg" height="181" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
To snag the Brilliant Spore in Spires of Arak, you'll need to kill a rare elite named Rotcap. He's not hard and I killed him easily on my 98 rogue, so don't be afraid to just run right up and smack him with your spells, daggers, or maces.<br />
<br />
Spires of Arak is kind of twisty, but Rotcap sits in a clearing that's just north of Axefall. He's also just south of a flight point, so if you don't have it yet, pick it up at the same time you get your spore pet!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTgqxWLIGAfjvnZsfJ202Js6q_sBLliZhiqb3V1Tfi8syk5wbLOU5ZIrMGc5eT3GDqdl_KI8ifZOqnHc3sM3KMCOVPyT3hOtuW-21rUvJJpEca7PCwonRfQXJNFIkEf_TcMSUoqBFXm6s/s1600/brilliantspore02.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTgqxWLIGAfjvnZsfJ202Js6q_sBLliZhiqb3V1Tfi8syk5wbLOU5ZIrMGc5eT3GDqdl_KI8ifZOqnHc3sM3KMCOVPyT3hOtuW-21rUvJJpEca7PCwonRfQXJNFIkEf_TcMSUoqBFXm6s/s1600/brilliantspore02.jpg" height="285" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
The Brilliant Spore is a flying pet with some fungusy attacks, and it also has Explode, which kills the spore and hits the enemy for 40% of the Spore's total hit points. Just like the Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling. The Brilliant Spore is clearly the prettiest Spore pet of Warlords.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwDawMbsWMPCuiR077b5bEc07yOain5liDSBZ4oiAZJ4Ddzd4O0AvyALuTm-YopTZ47JoN0C8BQm-JDV-DE2VqXEjrf33Hnt2X7RlaFXs7OP0qZoD0CDNAXQoDLJcLnReE9odMAChOs8A/s1600/brilliantspore03.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwDawMbsWMPCuiR077b5bEc07yOain5liDSBZ4oiAZJ4Ddzd4O0AvyALuTm-YopTZ47JoN0C8BQm-JDV-DE2VqXEjrf33Hnt2X7RlaFXs7OP0qZoD0CDNAXQoDLJcLnReE9odMAChOs8A/s1600/brilliantspore03.jpg" /></a></div>

You know, I'm not sure why a "brilliant" spore drops from a mob that sniffs his armpits.<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyfHi5MYH-2dcENqMJUeQ1mRi8fGh-lRtaZBsDOEoa6aYPA18aX_A20FTx6scs7NfBp5Yc8OFZx0krQeqyztrECULmLp5gCqyPT6aztxvNIg17WMatj28DP_djB4wTSC5ByXurj0fepZo/s1600/crimsonspore01.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyfHi5MYH-2dcENqMJUeQ1mRi8fGh-lRtaZBsDOEoa6aYPA18aX_A20FTx6scs7NfBp5Yc8OFZx0krQeqyztrECULmLp5gCqyPT6aztxvNIg17WMatj28DP_djB4wTSC5ByXurj0fepZo/s1600/crimsonspore01.jpg" height="165" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I'll be honest with you. I had no idea this pet existed until I was traveling around Gorgrond to get treasures and happened to see a clickable item on a red fungus that turned out to be a spore pet called a Crimson Spore. This pet didn't show up on my Handynotes addon, which must mean I have an old version of the add-on or something... anyway, I'm betting that a lot of people don't yet know about this pet or want to find it, so here's a simple guide!<br />
<br />
The Crimson Spore is a flying pet with a variety of damage over time (DOT) abilities:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEij0x5k0WR-gunkFFdI5OxANQtC86whmPeexidQHnf60yhKR5jIsvc2ouooMEn4UKl6imNRf99-97KANvc7BOw86SbBLwnm9G5b5NeUnpzhFlg-e1LhXZ0amTjAe_sqVFp8-0KWbdT0iLw/s1600/crimsonspore03.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEij0x5k0WR-gunkFFdI5OxANQtC86whmPeexidQHnf60yhKR5jIsvc2ouooMEn4UKl6imNRf99-97KANvc7BOw86SbBLwnm9G5b5NeUnpzhFlg-e1LhXZ0amTjAe_sqVFp8-0KWbdT0iLw/s1600/crimsonspore03.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
You'll find a "Strange Spore" in the area with all the mushrooms and fungi on the eastern side of Gorgrond. See the map:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpLeNnsMMDtvOIDpLW72NrnTLGdUBjZls7A9iTLnkbTCz-eJfl6dqMekHJhJMG2mBTN8weFMi_i7ZBGL2RKfQP3ePDbKLdCunK1M1ehYIXkjoispEL2OV1v3F5NtItPt8tzuIA_kij4lY/s1600/crimsonspore02.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpLeNnsMMDtvOIDpLW72NrnTLGdUBjZls7A9iTLnkbTCz-eJfl6dqMekHJhJMG2mBTN8weFMi_i7ZBGL2RKfQP3ePDbKLdCunK1M1ehYIXkjoispEL2OV1v3F5NtItPt8tzuIA_kij4lY/s1600/crimsonspore02.jpg" height="285" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
You can approach the spore from one of two directions. You can either go through Tangleheart and approach from the south or come from the north through the giant mushrooms. Either way is fine as long as you can make it to the ramp that you'll use to jump on the fungi that stick out of the wall.<br />
<br />
Here's a really basic video on how to jump to the spore. I found it was easier to dismount, but that's probably just because I have a twitchy spacebar that does weird things. I know the quality of the video isn't terrific, but it should show you the basic path.<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfGbvFF45DUrtNML6hMbvldL9CZ2TXZ4v2tEQdu_Sw3-jvhiUM2PdNkVenabFzAlXdxu9pd7xBN5P3mDfn9KhUh-Xet8VU7npxdpEmnUZQ_GoKT3GXfuES8hVAQYfh9Hivgf-2lfYO4Qg/s1600/meadowstompercalf01.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfGbvFF45DUrtNML6hMbvldL9CZ2TXZ4v2tEQdu_Sw3-jvhiUM2PdNkVenabFzAlXdxu9pd7xBN5P3mDfn9KhUh-Xet8VU7npxdpEmnUZQ_GoKT3GXfuES8hVAQYfh9Hivgf-2lfYO4Qg/s1600/meadowstompercalf01.jpg" height="237" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Warlords of Draenor features a few quest chains that feature a battle pet at the conclusion of the chain, and one of those quests occurs in Nagrand. Your reward is the Meadowstomper Calf, and your quest chain comes from a little goblin named Digrem Orebar at the Ring of Trials. If you follow the Nagrand quest chains presented to you when you enter the zone, this quest series comes up pretty quickly.<br />
<br />
You shouldn't need to quest too much to arrive at it organically. However, you can probably just head over to the Ring of Trials and try to pick the quest up if you missed it or haven't started Nagrand during the leveling process.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQifwYUVzYkJWcNuaExwrOeOG0qru2bAnrXaODfnTEzALlECNReW88fVt_VNNsV3vzTrnLPH2a61PiizA6HTL0YzgpWj0DYkFGwZuzoWdjtysygwTHERjAH4RKlOmjyCYjGGlZFFCYzrU/s1600/meadowstompercalf02.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQifwYUVzYkJWcNuaExwrOeOG0qru2bAnrXaODfnTEzALlECNReW88fVt_VNNsV3vzTrnLPH2a61PiizA6HTL0YzgpWj0DYkFGwZuzoWdjtysygwTHERjAH4RKlOmjyCYjGGlZFFCYzrU/s1600/meadowstompercalf02.jpg" height="283" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Getting your Meadowstomper Calf requires completing three quests in this series:<br />
<br />
1. Tastes Like Chicien<br />
2. Fruitful Ventures<br />
3. New Babies<br />
<br />
Standard "go kill/collect this stuff" and a reward at the end. Nothing too complicated.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5_yNINyeUvFtUYENCj1u3Tw-rxvHW4IkjO2lZGffv1xCmdm3zAS-mAAtx1YvQEWEQR2ZDuOTGzxZVAuoDSw6Mqwy950plh_o4Fq2ojINjksSetOYuwBs_oF8eJPsDRJneTQTpjCap63E/s1600/meadowstompercalf03.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5_yNINyeUvFtUYENCj1u3Tw-rxvHW4IkjO2lZGffv1xCmdm3zAS-mAAtx1YvQEWEQR2ZDuOTGzxZVAuoDSw6Mqwy950plh_o4Fq2ojINjksSetOYuwBs_oF8eJPsDRJneTQTpjCap63E/s1600/meadowstompercalf03.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
Upon completing New Babies, you'll get your Meadowstomper Calf, which is a beast pet that's Uncommon quality and has abilities like Trample, Primary Cry, and Headbutt. Useful against Mechanical pets and weak against Humanoids.<br />
<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWsjzewoxLLnLadZ3-8KjUgFwQMh_PC0yh-sEf7NOG7eps53RU5CG_hYsz1249P23zAN5RYfSfWs7DPNT70A7DaYxfbTUJmcg9dS1Ehrr5oXx1E6yowhzRlW-15nEqBp5-V_Lx9VRygks/s1600/brutusrukus01.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWsjzewoxLLnLadZ3-8KjUgFwQMh_PC0yh-sEf7NOG7eps53RU5CG_hYsz1249P23zAN5RYfSfWs7DPNT70A7DaYxfbTUJmcg9dS1Ehrr5oXx1E6yowhzRlW-15nEqBp5-V_Lx9VRygks/s1600/brutusrukus01.jpg" height="237" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Brutus and Rukus are a pair of legendary beasts that hit hard and respond well to being hit even harder in return. As is so often the case with these battles, a Chrominius bomb with the help of the Pandaren Water Spirit's icy bonanza is often the best way to take care of one these dudes. It requires a little switching, but if you use my team, it should be an easy fight. Just gotta hit them with some huge attacks.<br />
<br />
Along with your Pandaren Water Spirit and your Chrominius, you'll want to use a Tranquil Mechanical Yeti. I don't know why they call him Tranquil when he's clearly a crazy beast.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvGhyBr4y9zkF3iSE_J6w487EscHXaplPscLdSxgyYgB8MypRX4eD1gza0REiFPTDm5nPILnaFVgEwmbzZKLp8Go9oVkMA31eaNap5K4K53n7k2sNaEitNuk9v52DgxHy8HPtyCFwlwhk/s1600/brutusrukus02.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvGhyBr4y9zkF3iSE_J6w487EscHXaplPscLdSxgyYgB8MypRX4eD1gza0REiFPTDm5nPILnaFVgEwmbzZKLp8Go9oVkMA31eaNap5K4K53n7k2sNaEitNuk9v52DgxHy8HPtyCFwlwhk/s1600/brutusrukus02.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
To start, you'll bring out your Pandaren Water Spirit and cast Geyser and Whirlpool. Then, you'll switch to Chrominius and cast Howl and Surge of Power. This will kill Brutus.<br />
<br />
Chrominius will probably die during his recovery from Surge of Power, so then you'll bring out the Pandaren Water Spirit again to fight the second pet, Rukus, and cast Geyser and Whirlpool again.<br />
<br />
Your Water Spirit should be faster than Rukus, so unless there's some crazy unexpected crit, you should be able to get a second Geyser and Whirlpool off. When your Water Spirit dies, you'll bring out your Yet and cast Call Lightning and Ion Cannon. Rukus should die and your Yeti should have around half HP when the fight ends.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijhE0cRrKMdvLui0zsqvsa-Mk5NhYU3UbW4Cm_JdJP1W6ksRBYfLIDQECvl6OKnnm_on8UhtI87fUg91VhrijPEATzaNCyzi0-hOddiGjdjAphz3GJVNX-L1xVhVZkNe8IE9AEt_6Iedc/s1600/brutusrukus03.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijhE0cRrKMdvLui0zsqvsa-Mk5NhYU3UbW4Cm_JdJP1W6ksRBYfLIDQECvl6OKnnm_on8UhtI87fUg91VhrijPEATzaNCyzi0-hOddiGjdjAphz3GJVNX-L1xVhVZkNe8IE9AEt_6Iedc/s1600/brutusrukus03.jpg" height="237" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I did this fight a few times just to make sure the sequence of attacks would work, and I never had any problems with a pet dying early.<br />
<br />
So, order of attacks:<br />
<br />
Geyser > Whirlpool > Howl > Surge of Power > Geyser > Whirlpool > Call Lightning > Ion Cannon<br />
<br />
Actually pretty easy, although I'd love to figure out a 2-pet team.<br />
<br />
Here's a video of the fight with the above team:<br />
<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2qASqKs_ePXwQlQXsODDjuoZxCg3jEa4sY5Mq8MURtnAD82XrL6I1sFnvGAWLuMyU3WSdLvg7CsIWs4P8HFb0WYc-jO8V6esY6VeHr_9vXCl3EEQZ8avrd_7CKA2w8e2ZUtfKiGy4DV4/s1600/fatosmanoshanos01.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2qASqKs_ePXwQlQXsODDjuoZxCg3jEa4sY5Mq8MURtnAD82XrL6I1sFnvGAWLuMyU3WSdLvg7CsIWs4P8HFb0WYc-jO8V6esY6VeHr_9vXCl3EEQZ8avrd_7CKA2w8e2ZUtfKiGy4DV4/s1600/fatosmanoshanos01.jpg" height="195" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Manos, Fatos, and Hanos look like a warlock's demon decided to shack up with a mage's elemental and the result was something pink and evil. Each of these pets is a Magic pet, and they're total wusses! Just goes to show you warlocks and mages will never be able to work together in harmony.<br />
<br />
To fight this trio, I used a Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling, an Emerald Proto-Whelp, and an Onyxian Whelpling.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtf-vjZqPGy50XCJSkiZhrKxo7pEab4FQki91e4YTjue_m0jT6RMjobwJajqW8O6Si6viJZ-UJGBqUxd1iFcKsLRqbCIXYwC2a95CMUzrchu889k4OIs5SXMbeJZ4HrrJ4snpGXQ-MBCo/s1600/fatosmanoshanos02.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtf-vjZqPGy50XCJSkiZhrKxo7pEab4FQki91e4YTjue_m0jT6RMjobwJajqW8O6Si6viJZ-UJGBqUxd1iFcKsLRqbCIXYwC2a95CMUzrchu889k4OIs5SXMbeJZ4HrrJ4snpGXQ-MBCo/s1600/fatosmanoshanos02.jpg" height="254" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The Dragonling is definitely imba for this fight. Toss up Decoy in one of the first rounds to avoid a heavy-hitting Mana Surge from Manos (who comes out first), and then just Breath your way to victory. Use Decoy a second time if it comes up (it very well may).<br />
<br />
No joke, your Dragonling will practically solo this entire team. These Magic pets won't be able to harm your Dragonling with any real huge hits, and your Dragonling's Breath will just tear them to shreds.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKmL3Vr76MTF-Q6-zDNVgcCIeIyhcSRToAm3fOuXPTvE1NNlP7ywzcEIr_FPGo9mBh7QVu8Q_VaeZJ-gNXu8ElFmOBnHhXktOsMZo_cG3Td7jEccDz0lMhG4Cjr4rpH5qZboAFOWNZlZs/s1600/fatosmanoshanos03.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKmL3Vr76MTF-Q6-zDNVgcCIeIyhcSRToAm3fOuXPTvE1NNlP7ywzcEIr_FPGo9mBh7QVu8Q_VaeZJ-gNXu8ElFmOBnHhXktOsMZo_cG3Td7jEccDz0lMhG4Cjr4rpH5qZboAFOWNZlZs/s1600/fatosmanoshanos03.jpg" height="190" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
When I did this fight, my Dragonling lasted all the way until the last pet (Fatos) was at 204 HP. My Proto-Drake and Onyxian Whelpling were mildly annoyed to have been brought to the battle only to be forced to watch the action from the bench.<br />
<br />
<b>Video update!</b><br />
<br />
I created a video of the battle so you can see how well the Dragonling performs in this fight. I notice that the fight tends to go a little bit better if your Dragonling actually lands an attack when he's got the 50% blind debuff. However, as you'll see in the video, you can still do very well even if you miss a few attacks. Also, I find that tossing out Decoy as your first attack (or defense, in this case) is best.<br />
<br />

<br />
Fighting Stitches Jr. is pretty interesting because he has a buff called "Iron Thread" which says:<br />
<br />
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
<i>Stitches ignores attacks that do less than 500 damage.</i></blockquote>
<br />
So, this becomes a game of finding enough nukes to down him... and some cheese. This fight responds amazingly well to cheese...<br />
<br />
The cheesiest way to beat Stitches is to bring out your Nether Faerie Dragon and use Life Exchange to blast into Stitches Jr.'s health around the 5th round.<br />
<br />
My team included a Nether Faerie Dragon, Chrominius (because what nuke fest is complete without good ol' Chrominius?), and a Lost of Lordaeron (for Doom).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxIX1mlnrcJnzsTszVRujW3b94fxwc-snRcoZdO-sR6E05uLjkYctxPTOJdsujCZbZT51HCSQ8UqM33nmUPzeuljzO4uUqK663B-l9e1ga8QKTtZMTiyS-vk20xa_xaFazPQHZPHakymg/s1600/stitchesjr02.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxIX1mlnrcJnzsTszVRujW3b94fxwc-snRcoZdO-sR6E05uLjkYctxPTOJdsujCZbZT51HCSQ8UqM33nmUPzeuljzO4uUqK663B-l9e1ga8QKTtZMTiyS-vk20xa_xaFazPQHZPHakymg/s1600/stitchesjr02.jpg" height="254" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Now, what really helps this fight is being able to cast big attacks while he has Enrage up, because he takes 50% extra damage, and it's easier to hit him for more than 500 without him blocking it.<br />
<br />
However, he seems to use Enrage completely randomly, and this means you'll need to respond accordingly with the right attacks at the right time. Don't worry, it's not too difficult as long as you know what to look for.<br />
<br />
Now, I did this fight a few times, and it was always so random that I couldn't pin down an exact sequence of attacks and pets you should use.<br />
<br />
However, the best results were from using the Nether Faerie Dragon first.<br />
<br />
The only constant is that you'll use Arcane Blast first (which Stitches will block). Then, you'll keep using Arcane Blast until one of two things happens:<br />
<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li>Stitches casts Enrage - then you'll use Moonfire.</li>
<li>Your Dragon's HP gets dangerously low (say below 300) - you'll use Life Exchange.</li>
</ul>
<br />
<br />
If you get to use Moonfire (for about 600 damage) and then Life Exchange (for thousands more damage), Stitches's health should be below half - and you should be able to use Arcane Blast and actually have it land because of the Dragon passive:<br />
<br />
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
<i>Dragons deal 50% additional damage on the next round after bringing a target's health below 50%.</i></blockquote>
<br />
Essentially, try to use Moonfire each time that Enrage is up. And use Life Exchange when your Dragon's HP gets low.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5saxQrqdfMGjGjnE8iPz5WvEQLs1EnU4RKvNuHPEDYx_ilhC5Qt3jbX_njQiPdXPjNi_bAXmuvmZypOK5rKbGkHaIMTbB9uyug4ttOb6XpVlRB1y2L9TmOEbGhSiSOgIW235bzA35cXY/s1600/stitchesjr03.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5saxQrqdfMGjGjnE8iPz5WvEQLs1EnU4RKvNuHPEDYx_ilhC5Qt3jbX_njQiPdXPjNi_bAXmuvmZypOK5rKbGkHaIMTbB9uyug4ttOb6XpVlRB1y2L9TmOEbGhSiSOgIW235bzA35cXY/s1600/stitchesjr03.jpg" height="90" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
From what I can tell - if you use Moonfire early (say he enrages in the second round), you should be able to get two Moonfires and one Life Exchange off before your Dragon dies.<br />
<br />
When your Dragon dies, if Stitches' HP is under 1600, you'll want to bring out Chrominius and do a Howl > Surge of Power. This should finish Stitches off even if he's not enraged and should deal approximately 1600 damage to Stitches to kill him the first time. My Chrominius hit Stitches for 1629 with his Howl > Surge.<br />
<br />
Then, you should be able to live through the last round where Stitches resurrects and just wait out that last round until Stitches keels over for good.<br />
<br />
Or, if Stitches doesn't cast Enrage often enough and your Dragon dies before Stitches' HP is below 1600, you'll bring out your Lost of Lordaeron first to cast Doom and then bring out Chrominius for a Howl > Surge.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirOMjmxtBSFX9p5r-DztYy8QXCMn9r3s-jDnrjxCju6sj31XbCgz48tvyxbjyHaNpQW7v8_4mTE1UEPSJ_pX-rgeSc9g6mzEx6re3bqd12dhLuZaU-kTCBmttTiLqUEKbM8Ba1S8WdewE/s1600/stitchesjr04.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirOMjmxtBSFX9p5r-DztYy8QXCMn9r3s-jDnrjxCju6sj31XbCgz48tvyxbjyHaNpQW7v8_4mTE1UEPSJ_pX-rgeSc9g6mzEx6re3bqd12dhLuZaU-kTCBmttTiLqUEKbM8Ba1S8WdewE/s1600/stitchesjr04.jpg" height="190" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<b>Important:</b> The BEST series of events for this fight is to get in two Moonfires (against an Enraged Stitches) and one Life Exchange, as well as one Arcane Blast that will land because of the Dragon passive.<br />
<br />
It doesn't happen that way every time... so you'll need to make a decision on either bringing out your undead pet for a Curse of Doom (if Stitches is over 1600 when your Dragon dies) or bringing out Chrominius for the final kill (if Stitches is below 1600).<br />
<br />
If you end up getting Stitches below 1600 before your Dragon dies, it might be best to just bring out Chrominius and hurl out a Howl > Surge immediately to get that first kill on Stitches.<br />
<br />
I did this fight at least a half-dozen times, and I think my comp is pretty reliable.<br />
<br />
Now, I'm pretty certain you could slot in a Val'kyr (as usual with so many of these fights) and have an easier time of it with Unholy Ascension, but my method should work, too.<br />
<br />
Here's a video so you can see how strong the Nether Faerie Dragon is against Stitches Jr:<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8dOm_r-SYKUdEx-Bn42EhfTiFxj01oBwsKIhApght8HJm2h4Vi84aFJymdcJTTDkKE6iqp8nKj0VF1VI1fGrhCg48Xh6ovfrHfZy8iGEZGVgnxTOfIGR0B-S9X5NN4bYXKcPbawCe1YU/s1600/Protectron022481-01.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8dOm_r-SYKUdEx-Bn42EhfTiFxj01oBwsKIhApght8HJm2h4Vi84aFJymdcJTTDkKE6iqp8nKj0VF1VI1fGrhCg48Xh6ovfrHfZy8iGEZGVgnxTOfIGR0B-S9X5NN4bYXKcPbawCe1YU/s1600/Protectron022481-01.jpg" height="190" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
A fight that's easy to beat but features some interestingly-named opponents would definitely be the garrison pet battle against Protectron 022481, Protectron 011803, and Blingtron 4999b.<br />
<br />
Not frustrating in the least - you'll conquer this battle easily.<br />
<br />
At first glance, you might assume the best pets to use against this team would be Elementals, but you'd only be partially right. These little Mechanicals sometimes act as though they're Critters, so this means Elemental damage isn't always the best attack against them.<br />
<br />
As such, using pets that employ Beast Damage will probably get you a little further.<br />
<br />
Now, the difficulty here is that you can't actually use Beasts, because these Mechanical pets will put quite a dent in your day if you try. I dare you. Just try to use your Diemetradon Hatchling or your Feline Familiar.<br />
<br />
I used a Tiny Bog Beast, Crimson Shale Hatchling, and an Emerald Shale Hatchling (and I didn't really even need to use the second Hatchling that much).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkbEcLGJWIYY5qiUkRr_Dn9RCA1ATJKm2rUGtLg4I_1kWI2mUuGWmbK79v2koXeCKsD6uWfheatx1_HuZLXSwustfk_xJ288pzvwXMYvkFJtY4mQXLwlvUSZVSqEObcI-81-lnBSRJvwY/s1600/Protectron022481-02.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkbEcLGJWIYY5qiUkRr_Dn9RCA1ATJKm2rUGtLg4I_1kWI2mUuGWmbK79v2koXeCKsD6uWfheatx1_HuZLXSwustfk_xJ288pzvwXMYvkFJtY4mQXLwlvUSZVSqEObcI-81-lnBSRJvwY/s1600/Protectron022481-02.jpg" height="260" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Because of Roboflauge (that's the ability that means they take damage as if they were Critters), the savvy solution would be to find some Elementals that deal Beast damage. Elementals take reduced damage from Mechanical pets, and Beast damage would do some great damage to this team.<br />
<br />
The BEST pet on your team will definitely be the Tiny Bog Beast.<br />
<br />
When I tried him the first time, he ate through Blingtron 4999b like a hot knife through butter and took care of most of Protectron 011803 before dying. I then brought out my Crimson Shale Hatchling and Sticky Web > Leech Life'd myself to victory.<br />
<br />
Only needed to hurl out a single Sticky Web with my third pet to win the battle. However, depending on when Protectron 022481 fires off Ion Cannon (which will probably do a lot of damage to you), you might not even need that third pet.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIppGKMKsTBvztblwAa6IYak73bCHBKKhTxlVSEudTLJBNwtGOq755UifzgOwF8V5Dz1mIx0kNHIudmEHyk2QPE3SHIIRNiOIRJhyphenhyphen-VPf6RsxtvY5GV9DTmBlCCAzCMDTlW7arPosdJOE/s1600/Protectron022481-03.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIppGKMKsTBvztblwAa6IYak73bCHBKKhTxlVSEudTLJBNwtGOq755UifzgOwF8V5Dz1mIx0kNHIudmEHyk2QPE3SHIIRNiOIRJhyphenhyphen-VPf6RsxtvY5GV9DTmBlCCAzCMDTlW7arPosdJOE/s1600/Protectron022481-03.jpg" height="190" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Seriously, I was only paying half attention when I first fought this battle. The bag of Cheetos on my desk had much more of my attention than buttons 1, 2, and 3 on my keyboard.... seriously an easy fight!<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwz5xhS14M5-1WWZUxw9ZKThsuDM267hyHq_f3srWD4b3tZNXWbRXML56RON8VdAllfjdFY6X6HMCH7H7qqrtN1wZggC-MaRHKK4yvcgw-7D05nuZKlOvy3cFcuKlaMpPUybhf0pIwUaQ/s1600/quintessenceoflight01.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwz5xhS14M5-1WWZUxw9ZKThsuDM267hyHq_f3srWD4b3tZNXWbRXML56RON8VdAllfjdFY6X6HMCH7H7qqrtN1wZggC-MaRHKK4yvcgw-7D05nuZKlOvy3cFcuKlaMpPUybhf0pIwUaQ/s1600/quintessenceoflight01.jpg" height="237" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
The Quintessence of Light is uber annoying because she heals too fricken much, and the only way to counter it is to hit her with so many attacks and so much damage that she can't help but die.<br />
<br />
After some experimentation, I used a Ghostly Skull, Pandaren Water Spirit, and Chrominius. There are definitely a few other combos out there that can nuke her, but with my current pets and options, this was my best combo.<br />
<br />
<i><b>(see updated strat information at the bottom!)</b></i><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeWUXVoJbATskQEA3xcqzgusJcfDEzpmJCkYW9FkCkN8AcJ30fYbd4cxOj9QK7cfrpAq9OYwPAwZbgDu8Gi_JcO661F3XtqRBe9CfX7xtcrGkHiRghUk9OuqSTvNkp0vNgLROfkdwlAJE/s1600/quintessenceoflight02.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeWUXVoJbATskQEA3xcqzgusJcfDEzpmJCkYW9FkCkN8AcJ30fYbd4cxOj9QK7cfrpAq9OYwPAwZbgDu8Gi_JcO661F3XtqRBe9CfX7xtcrGkHiRghUk9OuqSTvNkp0vNgLROfkdwlAJE/s1600/quintessenceoflight02.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
Initially, I tried just the classic nuke combo of the Pandaren Water Spirit and Chrominius (Geyser + Whirlpool + Howl + Surge of Power), but after trying it a few times, she'd always have a little life left, which would allow her to use Cauterize and heal for a megaton. No, more than a megaton, Like a quintessentalton. Yes, I know that's not a word.<br />
<br />
Therefore, I needed to find an additional boost to my damage or something to put a dent in her HP before giving her the one-two-Chrominius punch. First, I tried the Nether Faerie Dragon with Life Exchange. Worked decently, but she'd still heal too much in the interim before I could get the Pandaren Water Spirit and Chrominius out to play.<br />
<br />
So instead, I decided to use the Ghostly Skull with Unholy Ascension, which increases the damage taken by the target by 25% for 9 rounds. The Unborn Val'kyr also has Unholy Ascension (and Curse of Doom to boot), but my Val'kyr is only a level 19 green (yes, I know, I'm behind the times on this one!), so I needed to use the Ghostly Skull... which worked out just fine.<br />
<br />
My series of attacks included:<br />
<br />
Ghostly Bite > Unholy Ascension > Geyser > Whirlpool (switch to Chrominius) > Howl > Surge of Power.<br />
<br />
Part of the reason why this works is because Geyser stuns the Quintessence and you can get in that final Surge of Power to finish her off without her healing a megaton.<br />
<br />
This series of attacks should finish her off neatly each time EXCEPT if your Pandaren Water Spirit gets hit six times (over two rounds) with Fire Quills. It just does too much damage and your Spirit will die before getting that essential Whirlpool off. For this to work, you MUST use the series of attacks I outlined above, or the Quintessence won't take enough damage.<br />
<br />
If you notice in the screenshot below, my Water Spirit was hit just twice during the first round it had with the Quintessence. This MUST happen.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJAbQJz7isDL8q7buDr0iWcy44bqkXgjZlIWkzww0PKiDQKP61Exc6SRE3veuELGXTMmJppE860yO9vXZPeF7fTaD2kRv8dAWSbmERoKCICJ4HLmrcKipc3sZZabgYmbUs12g_c8db0nE/s1600/quintessenceoflight03.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJAbQJz7isDL8q7buDr0iWcy44bqkXgjZlIWkzww0PKiDQKP61Exc6SRE3veuELGXTMmJppE860yO9vXZPeF7fTaD2kRv8dAWSbmERoKCICJ4HLmrcKipc3sZZabgYmbUs12g_c8db0nE/s1600/quintessenceoflight03.jpg" height="237" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Unfortunately, if your Pandaren Water Spirit bites the dust before you can cast Geyser AND Whirlpool, it's impossible to kill her. Which sucks because I really don't like starting battles over because of RNG.<br />
<br />
After beating the Quintessence initially on the first try with the Ghostly Skull, Water Spirit, and Chrominius, I had a ton of bad luck on further practice battles (I tested this combo at least a half-dozen times). My Water Spirit just kept dying from Quills, which has a "chance" to hit 2 or 3 times, based upon my team's speed. Unfortunately, my Spirit died over and over again because of this "chance" hit.<br />
<br />
If I had to guess, I think using Curse of Doom and Unholy Ascension could fix this problem by ensuring that Curse of Doom would go off with Geyser, which would mean Whirlpool wasn't necessary, but I can't test that for sure since my Val'kyer isn't leveled up yet. I'll fix that soon, I swear!<br />
<br />
<b>December 17, 2014 Update!</b><br />
<br />
Now that I've got my Val'kyr above level 20, I decided to fight the Quintessence again with the following team, and it was much less RNG-filled.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigvWy1Ync0ni4vFh1-yJj1vfERY2Yp-zq5-sfOEakMmJKSRpy3FgIhPLVulDZ2XBCi43OnpwcEB_-m4WmRKbvnVpDu92WAe_yrYPZaUhGrPNd2qkDAwXKxlV2qRQOo_gkZYcqja5MKqkw/s1600/quintessenceoflight04.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigvWy1Ync0ni4vFh1-yJj1vfERY2Yp-zq5-sfOEakMmJKSRpy3FgIhPLVulDZ2XBCi43OnpwcEB_-m4WmRKbvnVpDu92WAe_yrYPZaUhGrPNd2qkDAwXKxlV2qRQOo_gkZYcqja5MKqkw/s1600/quintessenceoflight04.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
My recommended series of attacks would be:<br />
<br />
Curse of Doom > Unholy Ascension > Geyser > Whirlpool > Howl > Surge of Power<br />
<br />
Yes, I believe it's best to kill the Val'kyr on round two and bring out the Water Spirit immediately and then switch to Chrominius. I tried using the Val'kyr a few extra rounds until it died, and I just ran into problems. Also, 90% of the reason this sequence works is because of the stun from Geyser. This allows your Chrominius to get that final Surge of Power off at the end where the Quintessence isn't able to heal.<br />
<br />
And, FYI, yes, my Unborn Val'kyr was only level 23 when I employed this strat.Selenorahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04712018868976017469noreply@blogger.com30tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8598963988641955625.post-77679629259753199202014-11-30T10:12:00.000-08:002014-12-15T11:45:54.604-08:00Rockbiter, Stonechewer, & Acidtooth Garrison Pet Daily Guide<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjrG9mPMR7eRxFPAEZn5RHjiUHbxojKa02VBVLuyueylNldzTfGN15u_l6WzHVyuQwNP7pdpKX7WtVA4KnTcj6UuhBSxScC1bN3vG0w1bQqkvTz_E1NbQeq9e2E5gknNy_482_JCici7ys/s1600/acidtooth01.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjrG9mPMR7eRxFPAEZn5RHjiUHbxojKa02VBVLuyueylNldzTfGN15u_l6WzHVyuQwNP7pdpKX7WtVA4KnTcj6UuhBSxScC1bN3vG0w1bQqkvTz_E1NbQeq9e2E5gknNy_482_JCici7ys/s1600/acidtooth01.jpg" height="206" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Rockbiter, Stonechewer, & Acidtooth are Humanoids, so you'll want to use some Undead pets in this daily garrison pet battle, but you'll also want to think about a pet with Acquatic attacks. This is a very predictable fight, and you shouldn't have any frustrations with it if you stick to a team like mine.<br />
<br />
My team included an Eternal Strider, a Restless Shadeling, and a Lost of Lordaeron.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjr7EUeUeMaEW7sYFMBDejXnkjkEWU2b0FuNQLVSYsoGkH18-w0_LRnYEFk8NY_gWQLgSE_tQmOtuxyGebAhZM0i7cm3z_Qx0g2ufkPJ0w4iHD6HfzJxYU-Nj-_3Z7cIvIxXYmnM3mqw6E/s1600/acidtooth02.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjr7EUeUeMaEW7sYFMBDejXnkjkEWU2b0FuNQLVSYsoGkH18-w0_LRnYEFk8NY_gWQLgSE_tQmOtuxyGebAhZM0i7cm3z_Qx0g2ufkPJ0w4iHD6HfzJxYU-Nj-_3Z7cIvIxXYmnM3mqw6E/s1600/acidtooth02.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
Against Rockbiter, you'll start with the Eternal Strider (or a Mirror Strider or Aqua Strider - they all have the same abilities) by using Pump twice. Rockbiter will then submerge. Since you can't hit him anyway, you'll continue to use Pump and hit him on the second Pump when he emerges.<br />
<br />
Then, you'll want to heal yourself (at least I did on the fifth round, it seemed to work well for the rest of the match) and then cast Pump twice more, and then finish off Rockbiter with a final Water Jet.<br />
<br />
Your Strider should have around 500 to 600 HP left. The reason why the Strider is so good is because Rockbiter uses an ability called "Nature's Ward," which turns him into an Elemental and means your Strider's Aquatic damage is powerful.<br />
<br />
When your second adversary, Stonechewer, comes out, I'd recommend using Healing Wave first and then Pump (twice). After that, your HP will be pretty low and you'll want to cast a last Water Jet. As long as your Strider is faster than 319, you'll hit Stonechewer first and get some valuable attacks in before your Strider dies.<br />
<br />
Then you'll bring your Restless Shadeling out and cast Plagued Blood and spam Death Coil until Stonechewer is low and you can finish him off with a Shadow Shock or two. I prefer healing with the Death Coil to get Stonechewer low before using Shadow Shock. It seems to let your Restless Shadeling live longer until Acidtooth comes out.<br />
<br />
Your Restless Shadeling should have enough life for a few rounds with Acidtooth, and I'd recommend using the same rotation. Plagued Blood, Deathcoil (maybe twice), and then Shadow Shock when the Shadeling is on its second life.<br />
<br />
When your Lost of Lordaeron comes out, Acidtooth should be pretty low and around 400 to 500 HP. As long as he's that low, just ignore Curse of Doom and cast Siphon Life and Shadow Slash until Acidtooth dies. He won't live long enough for Doom to go off. You can probably get away with skipping Siphon Life, too, and just cast one or two Shadow Slashes to kill Acidtooth and end the battle.<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqzBVe7xcwBJ2S-as45acpeeJZTuP1wYe64Z-qZbjrHbyLvaDjNypUyt2W9Exuvoc52F7K4po4PAr5OHbcjD9Qx833PfxqK-TWt-NHweILz9N64Am0uP4PJjU8EjeB9lu1euU-NbdA0BE/s1600/acidtooth03.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqzBVe7xcwBJ2S-as45acpeeJZTuP1wYe64Z-qZbjrHbyLvaDjNypUyt2W9Exuvoc52F7K4po4PAr5OHbcjD9Qx833PfxqK-TWt-NHweILz9N64Am0uP4PJjU8EjeB9lu1euU-NbdA0BE/s1600/acidtooth03.jpg" height="237" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Overall, a fairly predictable fight. The general movements will be (outside of unexpected crits and stuff):<br />
<br />
Pump > Pump > Pump > Pump > Healing Wave > Pump > Pump > Water Jet (Rockbiter should die here) > Healing Wave > Pump > Pump > Water Jet (Strider dies, Restless Shadeling comes out) > Plagued Blood > Death Coil (about 3 times) > Shadow Shock (Stonechewer should die here) > Plagued Blood > Shadow Shock (once or twice until your Shadeling dies and you bring your Lost of Lordaeron out) > Shadow Slash (once or twice to finish off Acidtooth).<br />
<br />
Now, I tried using the Lost of Lordaeron second and cast Curse of Doom on him, but Stonechewer actually died before Doom went off and my Restless Shadeling died at the same round as the other team, which meant a draw. Annoying! So my team works when you use Eternal Strider > Restless Shadeling > Lost of Lordaeron.<br />
<br />
You could also use a Crawling Claw (which I don't have because Achaeology is a big piece of poo) or an Unborn Valkyr for your Undead teammates. Maybe a Blighthawk would work, too, with Infected Claw and Consume Corpse. I love fights where I get to use Undead pets!Selenorahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04712018868976017469noreply@blogger.com19tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8598963988641955625.post-30662122583098564452014-11-29T14:07:00.001-08:002014-12-01T00:13:05.810-08:00Path to the Umbrafen Spore Battle Pet in Shadowmoon Valley<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
The Umbrafen Spore pet in Shadowmoon Valley requires a little creativity to catch since it doesn't just sit on the ground waiting for you to loot it, and it's not a pet you need to beat in battle or catch in the wild in a traditional pet battle.<br />
<br />
It looks impossible to get at first since we can't fly in Warlords of Draenor, but I've created a video to show you the path. Now, I used my Alliance warlock (omg I know, Alliance!) and I start in the middle of the Shadowmoon Valley town called Elodor.<br />
<br />
(I used the Alliance lock since I figured it'd be a bit faster than trucking my Horde lock all the way over, fighting guards, and trying to snag the spore)<br />
<br />
The Umbrafen Spore is a Flyer and has some poisoning and DOT abilities:<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
You'll want to get on top of the giant mushrooms in northeast Shadowmoon Valley and loot the spore on the top of one of them. It might look like you could jump from the this NPC painter dude who sits on the edge of a short cliff nearby, but that's not where you want to go! You actually want to go to the taller cliffs that sit a little to the west and jump from them.<br />
<br />
Don't worry, you don't have to figure this out on your own. I've made a video showing you what path to take. Sorry the quality isn't the best and that it's got a watermark at the top (I downloaded the program for free and just have a trial version!).<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
PS: I encourage you to click on the "YouTube" link at the bottom right-hand side of my video or enlarge it to full screen. It's easier to see the path when the video is bigger! It shows up pretty tiny by default.</div>

<br />
Tirs and Fiero are Elementals, so using some Aquatics against them is a good idea. Fortunately, these Elementals like to use Cleansing Rain. That means that your Acquatic abilities will do even more damage with that cool damage buff.<br />
<br />
To fight Tirs and Fiero, I used a Spirit Crab, Eternal Strider, and a Mirror Strider.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtB04p4zWUXO2f1rWgNlAljFnF2BaTaBrfNfQ8m-sM3B7x-lxbFmPJZDmNrxuFNMslMKxeAnvVm6AU6hOHiNjD04_SE_0bKGLVhuK4t7osN14A7F7I0ThVRbDbOK2BId9Jy_zWoLSOMuQ/s1600/tirsandfiero02.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtB04p4zWUXO2f1rWgNlAljFnF2BaTaBrfNfQ8m-sM3B7x-lxbFmPJZDmNrxuFNMslMKxeAnvVm6AU6hOHiNjD04_SE_0bKGLVhuK4t7osN14A7F7I0ThVRbDbOK2BId9Jy_zWoLSOMuQ/s1600/tirsandfiero02.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
Against Tirs, who comes out first, I brought out my Spirit Crab first and alternated with Amplify Magic and Surge (I know my screenshot shows my Spirit Crab with Whirlpool, but you'll want to switch that up to Surge). My Surges were powerful when Cleansing Rain was up. The Spirit Crab was able to kill Tirs and then eat into Fiero's HP a good amount. Then, I brought out my two Striders and Pumped to the death.<br />
<br />
Fairly simple fight, but I thought it might be interesting to bring out one of the Striders first and see how things might go. It was definitely harder starting with the Striders first, even though Pumping Tirs to death should have been a powerful series of attacks.<br />
<br />
Note that I also tried the fight with a Whirlpool from the Spirit Crab rather than his Surge Ability and I don't think it went as well. The Amplify Magic + Surge + Cleansing Rain is a really potent combo against Tirs.<br />
<br />
So, my advice (after doing this battle a few times just to practice) is to use your Spirit Crab first, then the two Striders. It was great getting to use the Spirit Crab in this fight - he doesn't often come out to play.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3Nz-cpGiUiJb7EUCpkRdCM72eVQOkx478EyGbth8_3Pdn8RTCpXFa-JGvcLul7sldcq-Mk8vqGL3pCtKLvUkca2BM1AiXOm6k7JyIYYxxRXtv8i3ezniXxIbiwx5xndlsUsxo1vmIxOI/s1600/tirsandfiero03.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3Nz-cpGiUiJb7EUCpkRdCM72eVQOkx478EyGbth8_3Pdn8RTCpXFa-JGvcLul7sldcq-Mk8vqGL3pCtKLvUkca2BM1AiXOm6k7JyIYYxxRXtv8i3ezniXxIbiwx5xndlsUsxo1vmIxOI/s1600/tirsandfiero03.jpg" height="237" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I actually have two (rare) Spirit Crabs, but only one is level 25. I'm eyeing my level 6 Spirit Crab and am thinking about leveling him to fight as a double Spirit Crab team against Tirs and Fiero the next time I face them for the garrison pet daily battle.<br />
<br />
I think a double Spirit Crab team might be one of the best ways to 2-man the fight. But that's just a guess for me right now.<br />
<br />
Also, you could probably stack some pets with Whirlpools and get some pretty good results (although, as I mentioned, I tried a Whirlpool strat with the Spirit Crab and it didn't go as well as I'd hoped).Selenorahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04712018868976017469noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8598963988641955625.post-7546052278525502482014-11-28T16:07:00.002-08:002014-11-28T16:07:20.224-08:00Eleanor Garrison Pet Daily Guide<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4AeSrCaEH6pIdvhyM-KC2gwJFfjPrhqttjvpD920y5mTK13i2AFqJxTqWaJihGP-rSGVVwT8bOhUIVADjvfqBKa8H3GZ_qX1I-2lLtLDY9-c5KoZw4t6B49iFv3xmz-ckQlHdxojmMqA/s1600/eleanor01.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4AeSrCaEH6pIdvhyM-KC2gwJFfjPrhqttjvpD920y5mTK13i2AFqJxTqWaJihGP-rSGVVwT8bOhUIVADjvfqBKa8H3GZ_qX1I-2lLtLDY9-c5KoZw4t6B49iFv3xmz-ckQlHdxojmMqA/s1600/eleanor01.jpg" height="190" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Eleanor is a Fashionably Undead spectral goat, and she'll mess you up if you let her. However, this garrison pet daily quest isn't too hard if you have a few Rabbits or Hares on hand.<br />
<br />
Eleanor has some insane attacks that must be avoided at all costs. Death Bleat does 2520 Undead damage, which is essentially a 1-shot on any pet.<br />
<br />
When I was first thinking up a strategy for this, I thought it would be cool to use a Humanoid like the Flayer Youngling or Anubisath Idol for Deflection.... however, you're just asking for a whoopin' by using a Humanoid against an Undead foe. I'm tempted to use a Flayer Youngling against Eleanor just to see how hard she hits...<br />
<br />
I really wanted to use a Rabbit team to crush Eleanor, but I was short some level 25 rabbits/hares that were fast enough, so I decided to use an Alpine Foxling to get the speed boost from Dazzling Dance along with a sub-25 Tolai Hare and a level 25 Rabbit.<br />
<br />
If you're short on fast level 25 Rabbits, this strat is for you (as long as you have an Alpine Foxling or Alpine Foxling Kit). You'll use your fast Rabbit first and then your Foxling.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVJk29MZBQ-tndPmKc_zbIueQysXJLSUbnlchrNdQU1MsBsTHtuTY_hyCRRtW_ay1idO6JCHv0Kqu-kBQ3odKQZZRxokcLSKJ-dxl4nIiePsighaVAPOaPnyJEpYD0At2KRmuz1135asM/s1600/eleanor02.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVJk29MZBQ-tndPmKc_zbIueQysXJLSUbnlchrNdQU1MsBsTHtuTY_hyCRRtW_ay1idO6JCHv0Kqu-kBQ3odKQZZRxokcLSKJ-dxl4nIiePsighaVAPOaPnyJEpYD0At2KRmuz1135asM/s1600/eleanor02.jpg" height="260" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
To begin, you'll want to use Flurry first and then Dodge second because Eleanor will unleash her giant attack in the second round. After successfully avoiding that, cast Flurry and then Stampede, and right when Stampede ends, you should be able to cast Dodge again.<br />
<br />
You should also get in a last Flurry after that successful dodge because your Rabbit should be faster than Eleanor. You'll then bring out your Foxling Kit and cast Dazzling Dance > Howl > Flurry. Eleanor should die the first time, and your Fox will probably keel over at about the same time.<br />
<br />
Then, bring out whatever third/slow pet you've chosen (probably any pet that has a Dodge ability) and either hit Eleanor one more time or cast Dodge to avoid that last attack and see her die a second time.<br />
<br />
So, overall, the attacks you'll generally want to use:<br />
<br />
Flurry > Dodge > Flurry > Stampede > Flurry > Dodge > Stampede > Dazzling Dance > Howl > Flurry > Flurry > Dodge or Flurry for last attack.<br />
<br />
And, you'll get a bit of XP with your sub-25 pet if you use my strategy.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiX32UTJvEffWZle_aV2rTvP57VdiQx-_Rg5NVx3to1j7w6tZI-DJQf4StFZFo2c2U_5ewfbwg95e_V3uPOi11tWYZqHrZSNacw9Gd3Xkjca027n6rHQmkCmwrQyFzR5NJrn8Hz_7fKplQ/s1600/eleanor03.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiX32UTJvEffWZle_aV2rTvP57VdiQx-_Rg5NVx3to1j7w6tZI-DJQf4StFZFo2c2U_5ewfbwg95e_V3uPOi11tWYZqHrZSNacw9Gd3Xkjca027n6rHQmkCmwrQyFzR5NJrn8Hz_7fKplQ/s1600/eleanor03.jpg" height="190" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Note that lucky crits and other tomfoolery during this fight might mean you'll have to adjust things a bit. An extra Flurry here or there. An early Dodge. This fight is by no means 100% the same every time when you're using a Rabbit and a Foxling.<br />
<br />
Now, if you have fast Rabbits coming out of your ears, just use a few Hares and you can easily EASILY 2-team this undead goat. I had to play around a bit because of my lack of available level 25 Critters. Just use the Flurry > Dodge > Flurry > Stampede > Flurry thing twice. She should be dead after that.<br />
<br />
I tried my comp a few times and unexpectedly, my Rabbit died a little early because Eleanor got a lucky crit. This only happened once out of a few repeat matches, but if it does happen, it's a real uphill battle if you don't otherwise have three rabbits or hares. Little bit of RNG involved here.Selenorahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04712018868976017469noreply@blogger.com26
