Beegle Blastfuse is a gnome who hangs out in Howling Fjord in Northrend and has a trio of bird-type pets. They have a few annoying abilities which can cause some havoc should you decide to fight this trainer without the benefit of using pet types that might counter his two flyers and aquatic pets.

They are level 25 rare pets, so bringing some pets that are level 25 will allow for the easiest battle although slotting in a few lower levels for some power-leveling should be possible as long as you fully counter his lineup with your team.

Beegle's Pets:

  • Dinner (flyer, chicken)
  • Gobbles (flyer, turkey)
  • Warble (aquatic, penguin)

Here is one potential lineup:

The fight will usually always start with Dinner or Gobbles, so this makes creating your lineup fairly simple since each pet is a flyer and will both be countered by a few Magic pets (or pets with Magic abilities). A Flyer for the third pet is recommended as Flyers do increased damage to Aquatics.

All of Beegle's pets can be kind of annoying if you're not prepared for them. They hit fairly hard and the Turkey's "sleep" ability can cause a team a lot of harm.

A highly recommended pet for this fight is the Celestial Dragon. This pet does exceedingly well against the Flyers since it is a Dragonkin and Dragons take less damage from Flyers. Since one of the Celestial Dragon's abilities is "Moonfire," which is a Magic ability, it will also do more damage to Beegle's Flyers meaning it will last longer and hit harder.

Using a Celestial Dragon is the best way to power-level a pet up because the Dragon can take on both of Beegle's Flyers easily. Overall, Beegle isn't a hard fight and beating him should be easy as long as you bring the right pets. He's a great trainer for powering up 20+ level pets.

Battle Pet Tamers: Northrend Locations

Northrend offers five pet tamers to battle with four "master" pet tamers and one "grand master" pet tamer that can all be battled once a day. The grand master pet battle is a daily that rewards a bag of goodies and some gold so it's worth doing each day (especially if you can get to this tamer easily by using an Argent Tournament tabard).

The best route to take should you be looking to farm these pet tamers each day or on a frequent basis would vary depending on what class, professions or gear you might have.

If you're an engineer, you can port right to Icecrown with your worm hole and end up just to the west of the Argent Tournament grounds, which is where "Major Payne" hangs out.

Speed-wise, the fastest way to get these tamers done is going to be to port directly to the Argent grounds and then make your way around the continent. If you're not an engineer with a worm hole, picking up the Argent Tournament tabard is highly recommended.

Another option is to purchase the special Dalaran ring which will teleport you to Dalaran (good for achievement points, but hard on the wallet).

Should you begin your journey in Dalaran, you'll probably want to take the following route:

  • Crystalsong Forest (Nearly Headless Jacob)
  • Zul'Drak (Gutwretch)
  • Howling Fjord (Beegle Blasftuse)
  • Dragonblight (Okrut Dragonwaste)
  • Icecrown (Major Payne)

If you're lucky enough to have an Argent Tournament tabard or have the capability to wormhole yourself up to Icecrown, beginning with Major Payne as your first trainer and then heading down to Crystalsong Forest will be the best route to follow.

The locations of each trainer in Northrend are as follows:

Beegle Blastfuse

Beegle is located in Howling Fjord and stands right on the edge of a cliff on the western side of the map. He's just north of the Alliance base of Westguard Keep and is just south of the Horde-based Apothecary Camp.

Battle Pet Tamers: Northrend

The tamers in Northrend that are part of the Battle Pet Tamers: Northrend quest showcase a wide variety of pets to battle against and a few offer the opportunity to level up low pets for some speed leveling. Although all of the tamers in Northrend offer level 25 pets (the maximum level), none of them are going to be impossible or take too many tries provided you bring the right pets along for these fights.

After completing Battle Pet Tamers: Northrend, each of those tamers will offer a daily quest that offers a small amount of gold (around 9 gold and some silver) and the final tamer of the continent, who is located in Icecrown, will offer a daily quest where the reward is a bag that has a chance to give the player a pet upgrade stone and various pet-related goodies like bandages and pet biscuits.

Location: Howling Fjord

Beegle stands near the coast on the western edge of Howling Fjord and stands south of the Horde based Apothecary Camp and north of the Alliance based Westguard Keep.

Pets: Dinner the the Chicken (Flying), Gobbles the Turkey (Flying) and Warble the Penguin (Aquatic)

Defeating: Beegle is bested most easily by a few Magic pets to beat on the Flyers and a Flyer to beat up on his Aquatic.

Nearly Headless Jacob

Location: Crystalsong Forest

Nearly Headless Jacob stands in the valley below Dalaran and is on the southeast end of the river that flows through the zone.

Pets: Stitch the Skeleton Marionette (Undead), Spooky Strangler the Crawling Claw (Undead) and Mort the Ghostly Skull (Undead).

Defeating: Since Jacob uses a trio of Undead pets, you'd defeat him most easily by using a trip of Critters.

Okrut Dragonwaste

Location:  Dragonblight

Okrut is located at the very southern edge of the Path of the Titans, which runs through the center of the Dragonblight zone.

Pets: Droger the Dragon (Dragonkin, obviously), Sleet the Whelp (Undead) and Rot the Dragon (Undead as well).

Defeating: Critters do well against the Undead pets and this particular Dragonkin would be demolished by a Humanoid.

Gutretch

Gutretch and his pets in Zul'Drak
Gutretch lives in the Troll zone of Zul'Drak
Location: Zul'Drak

Gutretch hangs out in Zul'Drak in the very western side of the zone on a road that leads right into neighboring Crystalsong Forest.

Pets: Cadavus the toothy Maggot (Beast), Fleshrender the fanged Maggot (Beast) and Blight the Rat (Critter).

Defeating: A few Mechanical pets would do well against Gutretch to defeat his Beasts while using a Beast of your own to fight against his Critter would work out for the third pet.

Grand Master Payne

Grand Master Payne and his pets in Icecrown
Grand Master Payne kicks it in Icecrown
Location: Icecrown

Payne is located in Icecrown and sits at the base of a large tower that's on the northeast side of the Argent Tournament Grounds that sit in the far northeast side of the zone. You'll get a quest to visit him after you beat all the other Northrend tamers.

Pets: Grizzle the Bear (Beast), Bloom the blue Lasher (Elemental) and Beakmaster X-225 the Mechanopeep (Mechanical).

Defeating: This particular pet tamer is considered one of the harder fights in the game, so it often takes a little experimentation to see what type of pets will fare best. A Mechanical should beat the Beast, an Aquatic should beat the Elemental and an Elemental should beat the Mechanical.
