Have you gotten your World of Warcraft 10th anniversary goodies yet? Blizzard has simply offered a Feat of Strength and an in-game mail for some of its other anniversaries, but they've pulled out all the stops for this 2014 celebration.

When you log into the game for the first time during the anniversary, you'll get an in-game mail with a few words from Blizzard, as well as the MOLTEN CORGI! A seriously cute pet. As you can see above.

Secondly, Blizzard is also giving everyone who returns to a level 90 Molten Core (complete with curses I can't get rid of, thanks you useless Mages, Druids, and Shamans!) a core hound mount, which is pretty awesome, just like the corgi:

You'll also get a feat of strength associated with logging in during the anniversary. Don't worry, you have several weeks to celebrate the anniversary since Blizzard is giving everyone a long time to get leveled up to 100 for the revamped Molten Core fun.

Of course, the item that everyone will be clamoring after will definitely be Hatespark the Tiny, which drops from Ragnaros. It'll likely be torture farming this every week because no gear drops from any of the bosses in Molten Core, and you have to kill Rag at the very end for a chance at this pet.... oy.

The ultimate in feisty canines: The Molten Corgi

THE MOLTEN CORGI IS ALMOST HERE!

Alongside all the unique Battle Pets that look like miniature bosses (like the ferociously cool Droplet of YShaarj) there are also legions of similar pets that are barely discernible from one another.

Roaches, snakes, and rabbits seem to cover Azeroth in endless, similar, and boring varieties. However, the pet promised by Blizzard to players celebrating the game's 10th anniversary certainly wouldn't fall into the category of "ordinary" or "commonplace."

Early on in the data-mining for Warlords of Draenor, beta testers found evidence of a "Molten Corgi" in the files for new Battle Pets, and everyone wondered where the pet might drop. Recently, Blizzard revealed how everyone could get this pet. Fortunately, it doesn't require getting an impossible drop or paying a boatload of gold for someone to craft it for you.

In their blog post, Blizzard said:

"Anyone who logs in during the 10-year anniversary event will also be able to claim a feisty, fiery new pet: the Molten Corgi! Just think of the corgi-parade potential when you and your friends summon these wee waddling balls of fire for a walk."

You'll probably have a few days at minimum to log into the game to snag this pet. It's been a few years since Blizzard has given players anything more than a congratulatory message and a Feat of Strength for logging in during the anniversary, so it's nice to see they're giving players something memorable this time around. Based on other years, the anniversary celebration will probably land in November.
