Rockbiter, Stonechewer, & Acidtooth Garrison Pet Daily Guide

Rockbiter, Stonechewer, & Acidtooth are Humanoids, so you'll want to use some Undead pets in this daily garrison pet battle, but you'll also want to think about a pet with Acquatic attacks. This is a very predictable fight, and you shouldn't have any frustrations with it if you stick to a team like mine.

My team included an Eternal Strider, a Restless Shadeling, and a Lost of Lordaeron.

Against Rockbiter, you'll start with the Eternal Strider (or a Mirror Strider or Aqua Strider - they all have the same abilities) by using Pump twice. Rockbiter will then submerge. Since you can't hit him anyway, you'll continue to use Pump and hit him on the second Pump when he emerges.

Then, you'll want to heal yourself (at least I did on the fifth round, it seemed to work well for the rest of the match) and then cast Pump twice more, and then finish off Rockbiter with a final Water Jet.

Your Strider should have around 500 to 600 HP left. The reason why the Strider is so good is because Rockbiter uses an ability called "Nature's Ward," which turns him into an Elemental and means your Strider's Aquatic damage is powerful.

When your second adversary, Stonechewer, comes out, I'd recommend using Healing Wave first and then Pump (twice). After that, your HP will be pretty low and you'll want to cast a last Water Jet. As long as your Strider is faster than 319, you'll hit Stonechewer first and get some valuable attacks in before your Strider dies.

Then you'll bring your Restless Shadeling out and cast Plagued Blood and spam Death Coil until Stonechewer is low and you can finish him off with a Shadow Shock or two. I prefer healing with the Death Coil to get Stonechewer low before using Shadow Shock. It seems to let your Restless Shadeling live longer until Acidtooth comes out.

Your Restless Shadeling should have enough life for a few rounds with Acidtooth, and I'd recommend using the same rotation. Plagued Blood, Deathcoil (maybe twice), and then Shadow Shock when the Shadeling is on its second life.

When your Lost of Lordaeron comes out, Acidtooth should be pretty low and around 400 to 500 HP. As long as he's that low, just ignore Curse of Doom and cast Siphon Life and Shadow Slash until Acidtooth dies. He won't live long enough for Doom to go off. You can probably get away with skipping Siphon Life, too, and just cast one or two Shadow Slashes to kill Acidtooth and end the battle.

Overall, a fairly predictable fight. The general movements will be (outside of unexpected crits and stuff):

Pump > Pump > Pump > Pump > Healing Wave > Pump > Pump > Water Jet (Rockbiter should die here) > Healing Wave > Pump > Pump > Water Jet (Strider dies, Restless Shadeling comes out) > Plagued Blood > Death Coil (about 3 times) > Shadow Shock (Stonechewer should die here) > Plagued Blood > Shadow Shock (once or twice until your Shadeling dies and you bring your Lost of Lordaeron out) > Shadow Slash (once or twice to finish off Acidtooth).

Now, I tried using the Lost of Lordaeron second and cast Curse of Doom on him, but Stonechewer actually died before Doom went off and my Restless Shadeling died at the same round as the other team, which meant a draw. Annoying! So my team works when you use Eternal Strider > Restless Shadeling > Lost of Lordaeron.

You could also use a Crawling Claw (which I don't have because Achaeology is a big piece of poo) or an Unborn Valkyr for your Undead teammates. Maybe a Blighthawk would work, too, with Infected Claw and Consume Corpse. I love fights where I get to use Undead pets!

Path to the Umbrafen Spore Battle Pet in Shadowmoon Valley

The Umbrafen Spore pet in Shadowmoon Valley requires a little creativity to catch since it doesn't just sit on the ground waiting for you to loot it, and it's not a pet you need to beat in battle or catch in the wild in a traditional pet battle.

It looks impossible to get at first since we can't fly in Warlords of Draenor, but I've created a video to show you the path. Now, I used my Alliance warlock (omg I know, Alliance!) and I start in the middle of the Shadowmoon Valley town called Elodor.

(I used the Alliance lock since I figured it'd be a bit faster than trucking my Horde lock all the way over, fighting guards, and trying to snag the spore)

The Umbrafen Spore is a Flyer and has some poisoning and DOT abilities:

You'll want to get on top of the giant mushrooms in northeast Shadowmoon Valley and loot the spore on the top of one of them. It might look like you could jump from the this NPC painter dude who sits on the edge of a short cliff nearby, but that's not where you want to go! You actually want to go to the taller cliffs that sit a little to the west and jump from them.

Don't worry, you don't have to figure this out on your own. I've made a video showing you what path to take. Sorry the quality isn't the best and that it's got a watermark at the top (I downloaded the program for free and just have a trial version!).

PS: I encourage you to click on the "YouTube" link at the bottom right-hand side of my video or enlarge it to full screen. It's easier to see the path when the video is bigger! It shows up pretty tiny by default.

Tirs & Fiero Garrison Pet Daily Guide

Tirs and Fiero are Elementals, so using some Aquatics against them is a good idea. Fortunately, these Elementals like to use Cleansing Rain. That means that your Acquatic abilities will do even more damage with that cool damage buff.

To fight Tirs and Fiero, I used a Spirit Crab, Eternal Strider, and a Mirror Strider.

Against Tirs, who comes out first, I brought out my Spirit Crab first and alternated with Amplify Magic and Surge (I know my screenshot shows my Spirit Crab with Whirlpool, but you'll want to switch that up to Surge). My Surges were powerful when Cleansing Rain was up. The Spirit Crab was able to kill Tirs and then eat into Fiero's HP a good amount. Then, I brought out my two Striders and Pumped to the death.

Fairly simple fight, but I thought it might be interesting to bring out one of the Striders first and see how things might go. It was definitely harder starting with the Striders first, even though Pumping Tirs to death should have been a powerful series of attacks.

Note that I also tried the fight with a Whirlpool from the Spirit Crab rather than his Surge Ability and I don't think it went as well. The Amplify Magic + Surge + Cleansing Rain is a really potent combo against Tirs.

So, my advice (after doing this battle a few times just to practice) is to use your Spirit Crab first, then the two Striders. It was great getting to use the Spirit Crab in this fight - he doesn't often come out to play.

I actually have two (rare) Spirit Crabs, but only one is level 25. I'm eyeing my level 6 Spirit Crab and am thinking about leveling him to fight as a double Spirit Crab team against Tirs and Fiero the next time I face them for the garrison pet daily battle.

I think a double Spirit Crab team might be one of the best ways to 2-man the fight. But that's just a guess for me right now.

Also, you could probably stack some pets with Whirlpools and get some pretty good results (although, as I mentioned, I tried a Whirlpool strat with the Spirit Crab and it didn't go as well as I'd hoped).

Eleanor Garrison Pet Daily Guide

Eleanor is a Fashionably Undead spectral goat, and she'll mess you up if you let her. However, this garrison pet daily quest isn't too hard if you have a few Rabbits or Hares on hand.

Eleanor has some insane attacks that must be avoided at all costs. Death Bleat does 2520 Undead damage, which is essentially a 1-shot on any pet.

When I was first thinking up a strategy for this, I thought it would be cool to use a Humanoid like the Flayer Youngling or Anubisath Idol for Deflection.... however, you're just asking for a whoopin' by using a Humanoid against an Undead foe. I'm tempted to use a Flayer Youngling against Eleanor just to see how hard she hits...

I really wanted to use a Rabbit team to crush Eleanor, but I was short some level 25 rabbits/hares that were fast enough, so I decided to use an Alpine Foxling to get the speed boost from Dazzling Dance along with a sub-25 Tolai Hare and a level 25 Rabbit.

If you're short on fast level 25 Rabbits, this strat is for you (as long as you have an Alpine Foxling or Alpine Foxling Kit). You'll use your fast Rabbit first and then your Foxling.

To begin, you'll want to use Flurry first and then Dodge second because Eleanor will unleash her giant attack in the second round. After successfully avoiding that, cast Flurry and then Stampede, and right when Stampede ends, you should be able to cast Dodge again.

You should also get in a last Flurry after that successful dodge because your Rabbit should be faster than Eleanor. You'll then bring out your Foxling Kit and cast Dazzling Dance > Howl > Flurry. Eleanor should die the first time, and your Fox will probably keel over at about the same time.

Then, bring out whatever third/slow pet you've chosen (probably any pet that has a Dodge ability) and either hit Eleanor one more time or cast Dodge to avoid that last attack and see her die a second time.

So, overall, the attacks you'll generally want to use:

Flurry > Dodge > Flurry > Stampede > Flurry > Dodge > Stampede > Dazzling Dance > Howl > Flurry > Flurry > Dodge or Flurry for last attack.

And, you'll get a bit of XP with your sub-25 pet if you use my strategy.

Note that lucky crits and other tomfoolery during this fight might mean you'll have to adjust things a bit. An extra Flurry here or there. An early Dodge. This fight is by no means 100% the same every time when you're using a Rabbit and a Foxling.

Now, if you have fast Rabbits coming out of your ears, just use a few Hares and you can easily EASILY 2-team this undead goat. I had to play around a bit because of my lack of available level 25 Critters. Just use the Flurry > Dodge > Flurry > Stampede > Flurry thing twice. She should be dead after that.

I tried my comp a few times and unexpectedly, my Rabbit died a little early because Eleanor got a lucky crit. This only happened once out of a few repeat matches, but if it does happen, it's a real uphill battle if you don't otherwise have three rabbits or hares. Little bit of RNG involved here.

Jehan, Samm, & Archimedes Garrison Pet Daily Guide

As one of the easier garrison pet battles, you won't have too many issues beating Jahan, Samm, and Archimedes, who are all flyers. You'll love blasting them to smitherines with Magic damage.

To beat this trio, I used Chrominius, Lil' Tarecgosa, and the Nether Faerie Dragon:

You'll start with a Howl > Surge of Power, which will take care of Jahan. When Samm comes out, Chrominius will still be recharging and recovering, so his HP will probably get pretty low. However, I was able to get in an Arcane Explosion against Samm and Archimedes before my Chrominius died.

I then brought out my Nether Faerie Dragon and hurled out a Moonfire, which took Samm pretty low. Then I used a few Arcane Blasts and Samm was dead.

When Archimedes comes out, I used Life Exchange to boost my HP and immediately take almost half of Archimedes' health. Then, I used Moonfire and got a lucky crit on that poor pet. I think if I hadn't gotten that crit, I'd have probably used a single Arcane Blast to finish him off.

Overall, DEFINITELY a 2-pet battle. I had Lil' Tarecgosa at the ready to fight if things got hairy, but I didn't even get to use her.

Beat Vesharr Warlords of Draenor Grand Master Pet Tamer

Vesharr lives in Spires of Arak, and he's got a flyer named The Great Kaliri, an Apexis Guardian that's a Mechanical, and Darkwing, which is a Flyer. Conveniently, Vesharr is right near the flight point at Veil Terokk.

My team featured Chrominius, Fel Flame, and Disgusting Oozling:

Start with Chrominius and cast Howl > Surge of Power. The Great Kaliri will definitely die with this insane attack. My Surge of Power dealt 2221 damage to that poor little bird.

You'll enter recovery mode for two rounds afterward, but it's not a big deal. Your next opponent, the Apexis Guardian, shouldn't immediately kill Chrominius, and you should be able to get in an Arcane Explosion against him.

When Chrominius bites the dust, bring out your Fel Flame and use Immolate > Conflagrate > Burn. Depending on your luck, your Fel Flame might die around the same time as the Apexis Guardian. When your Disgusting Oozling comes out, cast Corrosion > Expunge > Ooze Touch.

I have to admit that I put this team together hastily when I came upon Vesharr in Spires of Arak. Simply choosing some strong pets against this pet tamer was enough. When I return to do the daily tomorrow, I think I'll keep Chrominius, but I may try to find a second pet that will let me level up a third pet.....

Grubbles, Scrags, & Stings Garrison Pet Daily Guide

Today's garrison pet battle is a 3-pet team and features a Critter named Grubbles, a Beast named Scrags, and a Flyer named Stings. Finding a team to beat this combo wasn't actually too hard. I just went through my favorites and chose some pets that would fight well against each of these three pet types (Critter, beast, & Flyer).

To fight this team I used an Alpine Foxling Kit, a Clockwork Gnome, and an Emerald Proto-Whelp.

Your Alpine Foxling Kit will be first against Grubbles, the crittery slug thing. Howl > Bite > Bite > Bite should kill him. When Scrags comes out, he has an annoying ability called Takedown, which will stun your Foxling.

When I tried this combo first time, my Foxling got stunned initially since he was slower, and Scrags got like 3 turns in a row from being a faster pet and from the stun. So, the second time I tried the battle, I used Leap for the last attack against Grubbles.

With the speed boost from Leap, your Foxling would be faster than Scrags. This means you'd get in a last Bite before Scrags started his stun-lock on you and took your HP to zero in like three swipes.

Unfortunately, Scrags has a Ravage ability that will heal him back to full anyway, even though your Foxling Kit got in a final attack. So, I recommend just doing Howl > Bite > Bite > Bite to kill Grubbles.

Then, when your Gnome comes out to fight Scrags, build a few Turrets and spam Metal Fist. Unfortunately, you might get stunned again, but if you're lucky, you might get to build a last Turret when Stings comes out, right before you die... a second time. Also, when I fought this team again (just to see if I could do anything different), RNG was so much in my favor that the Clockwork Gnome lived long enough to take the last pet, Stings, down to half health!

When your Emerald Proto-Whelp comes out last to battle Stings, you'll probably want to cast Emerald Bite FIRST because Stings may use a power-up and you won't heal anything if you use Ancient Blessing first.

If Stings just uses a power-up, you can probably safely use Ancient Blessing, but don't risk it if you're not sure if Stings will damage you or will just sit there powering up to attack you the next round. As a general rule, you'll want to cast Ancient Blessing second and risk the damage of two rounds so that you don't accidentally heal zero damage.

Overall, this is one of the least frustrating battles you'll face for your Garrison pet dailies. I'm 100% certain you could find a 2-man team for this to level up a third pet. However, for the moment, this team will get this daily done for you quickly and without hassle.

Gromli & Kromli Garrison Pet Daily Guide

Kromli and Gromli are Humanoids and one of the random Garrison Pet Daily battles you might get each day. You'll fight Kromli first and then Gromli will come out.

NOTE: I have two strategies for this team! Read the whole post, and see which one will work best for you :)

For one comp, I used a Lost of Lordareon, Ghostly Skull, and a Blighthawk. I started with Curse of Doom, then Siphon Life and then spammed Shadow Slash. I then brought out my Ghostly Skull and wreaked havoc with some Ghostly Bite action. Finally, the Blighthawk came out to finish off Gromli.

Now, I think you could use the Blighthawk second and the Ghostly Skull third and still have a positive result. Overall, not a difficult battle. I think this is definitely one where you could find a 2-man team.

The one thing that can put a dent in beating Kromli and Gromli with my combo is if you get stunned in the first round. It delays getting Curse of Doom up and makes the fight a little less certain.

What's really awesome is if your Lost of Lordaeron lives long enough to kill Kromli and get up a Curse of Doom on Gromli.

The battle with my three Undead pets wasn't as certain as I'd like it to be, so I did a little experimenting with pets that had reflect.

I tried the Flayer Youngling first, but the battle just took so long, and he died too early anyway. Second pet I tried was the Anubisath Idol, and my results were much more positive.

Still took a little while since the Idol was avoiding many attacks and wasn't doing too much damage in return to Kromli, but whatever, my Idol still just about solo'd Kromli.

If you use the Idol instead of one of the Undead pets, you'll want to cast Reflect first and then Sandstorm, because Dreadful Breath (the AOE attack) will hit your backline pets even if you have Reflect up with your Idol.

Better to get Reflect up for the first round, avoid that potential stun, and then cast Sandstorm for the second round. Honestly, Deadly Breath does so little damage to your Anibisath Idol, that Kromli will have a hard time EVER landing a hit or denting your HP.

Also, I think the Lost of Lordaeron is an important second pet to use because of Curse of Doom. The third pet is up to you, but I recommend the Lost of Lordaeron.

King Floret & Queen Floret Garrison Daily Pet Battle Guide

This duo is pretty difficult, and I've tried a few different combinations with limited success. Honestly, this fight feels like a slave to the RNG gods, and I suspect you might have to use a few pet bandages on your way to beating this garrison pet daily.

My team included a Pandaren Water Spirit, an Alpine Foxling, and an Alpine Foxling Kit. These fast pets will get in extra attacks, and their buffed damage through Howl will also benefit you.

Also, your Foxes will take reduced damage from the attack Punch, which is a Humanoid attack and does weak damage to beasts.

Start with your Pandaren Water Spirit against Queen Floret. You'll cast Whirlpool and Geyser and will probably get in a single Water Jet before your Spirit dies. Then, bring out either of your Foxes and cast Howl > Bite.

The timing should be right to have Geyser go off while Howl is active. The combo should take out Queen Floret. Then you'll use Howl > Bite until (hopefully) your Foxes kill King Floret.

I tried a lot of combinations here, and tended to fail right at the very end. Even this combination isn't absolutely terrific and RNG might RNG your team to death.

I think speed is key here. Your Foxes are fast, and that's incredibly important for getting in attacks when the King and Queen switch places.

Honestly, when this combo worked for me, I had just a tiny bit of life left on my Alpine Foxling Kit and the only reason I won was because I had my turn first and King Floret spent a round buffing himself to do 100% extra damage with Righteous Inspiration.

Check out the HP right before the last round:

I'd love to hear any alternative pet combos that might beat this team more reliably. I hate starting over because of RNG!

The Beakinator Garrison Pet Daily Guide

The award for Easiest Garrison Pet Daily battle might go to The Beakinator. He's a legendary boss pet, and he takes 50% less damage, and he can't be dealt more than 35% of his health in one attack. However, don't let these stats scare you. He's not that difficult of an opponent.

The team I used included a Nether Faerie Dragon, a Crimson Geode, and I used an Arcane Eye as a leveling pet once I figured out the strat.

You'll start out with your Nether Faerie Dragon, and you'll want to cast Moonfire first. The Beakinator will probably cast Wind-Up first, so the first round won't actually have any damage go to your pet. The Beakinator used Alpha Strike as its second attack, which didn't really do too much damage to my Dragon either. You'll want to use Arcane Blast as your second attack.

The third round will bring bigger damage when The Beakinator (hopefully) uses his second Wind-Up against you. This does a lot of damage, and you'll want to use Life Exchange agaisnt the attack. Fortunately, your Nether Faerie Dragon is slower than The Beakinator, so you can cast it after you're damaged heavily and then regain a lot of health.

Note: If you use Life Exchange and The Beakinator doesn't use Wind-Up a second time, it's not the end of the world, but you might want to just start over if you're trying to level up a pet. You'll just have to deal with the annoying "Touch of the Animus" heal that The Beakinator has, which may mean killing him could take a little longer than anticipated.

Get Your Doom Bloom from Gorgrond

As is the case with many of the new pets in Warlords of Draenor, little Doom Bloom is a cute, creative little sort of plant hydra. It's an elemental with abilities like Lash, Consume Corpse (cool! just like Blighthawk!), and Stun Seed.

To find your Doom Bloom, you'll need to travel to Gorgrond to a cave that's around the middle of the map:

Inside the cave, you'll see a giant version of Doom Bloom named Mandrakor. Not a hard fight. I got my Doom Bloom when I was around level... 94 or so? Maybe 93. Wasn't hard to kill him as long as your gear is decent enough (leveling gear is plenty).

It will be fun to create teams with Doom Bloom since it's such a neat little pet. It's also probably one of the most fun to summon during your journeys around Draenor.

Deebs, Tyri, & Puzzle Garrison Pet Daily Guide

I'm not gonna lie. This fight was kind of a pain in the butt until I figured out a comp to beat it. So far in Warlords of Draenor, this is definitely one of the more frustrating battles I've had... lots of pet bandages for this one.

The team you'll face includes:

  • Deebs is a Mini Diablo (magic) from the World of Warcraft Collector's Edition
  • Tyri is a Mini Tyrael (humanoid) from the "World Wide Invitational" of 2008
  • Puzzle is a Treasure Goblin (humanoid) from the Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls Collector's Edition.

I use a Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling,  a Ghostly Skull, and the Restless Shadeling.

Use the Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling against Deebs and cast Decoy first to avoid incoming damage and then spam Breath to kill him. You might want to toss out one Thunderbolt, because it damages your opponent's the entire team.

When Tyri comes out, use whatever life your Dragonling has left to eat into Tyri a little bit, and then bring out your Ghostly Skull. Cast Siphon Life and then Ghostly Bite. Yes, it will stun you, but it'll hit for a lot. Then cast Death Coil until Tyri dies.

Your Ghostly Skull should be alive when Puzzle comes out. Get Siphon Life up immediately and then use Ghostly Bite to decimate Puzzle's HP. Then, cast Death Coil until Puzzle dies or your Ghostly Skull takes a dirt nap.

You can probably get in another Ghostly Bite before your Skull dies, and you might not even have to use the Restless Shadeling. I'm pretty sure you can 2-pet this battle with a Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling and a Ghostly Skull and level-up a third pet.

Doesn't stop the fight from being really frustrating though before you find a comp! This team is definitely not a pushover team.

Here's a video of the fight. I recorded one where everything went right. I got in two Decoys with my Dragonling and the Ghostly Bite I used with my Skull actually hit. Sometimes things don't go this well (Ghostly Bite doesn't always hit). However, when things go well on this fight, they REALLY go well.

Get Your Stonegrinder in Taladar

One of the cutest pets this expansion has got to be Stonegrinder, which is a peppy little Mechanical pet that you can find in Talador. You'll have to avoid a few environmental hazards to get it, but it's an easy catch, even if you're not yet level 100.

You'll want to travel to northern Taladar along the water to find a cave. Your Stonegrinder will be in that cave.  However, get your dancing shoes on since you're going to have to step a little to the right and a little to the left....

Don't worry, it should be easy to avoid these giant beams as long as you're quick on your feet. Make sure you avoid the thin red circles on the ground - in particular, the one that's at the entrance to the cave. It'll slow you down.

As is the case with many Mechanical pets, your Stonegrinder will use a variety of attacks, and it's got Supercharge, which should be great for massive damage against Beasts with its Screeching Gears ability. It's definitely a creative little machine, and you'll enjoy traveling the roads of Draenor with this cute pet.

Carroteye, Mr. Terrible, & Sloppus Garrison Pet Daily Guide

One of the garrison pet dailies you might get is a fight against two carrots and a little blob named Carroteye, Mr. Terrible, and Sloppus. These pets are very easy to fight if you have the right team, and I don't think you'll have any problems if you use my suggested lineup.

About your opponents:

  • Mr. Terrible - Elemental
  • Carroteye - Elemental
  • Sloppus - Magic

To fight them, I use two Striders - a Mirror and an Eternal - and a Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling:

You'll use the Striders first and then switch to your Dragonling at the end. When the battle begins, you'll want to use Pump to power up, and then use Cleansing rain to get a heal. Then you'll use Water Jet repeatedly until Mr. Terrible's HP is low enough that you can use Pump a second time and kill him.

My Mirror Strider died at the same time as Mr. Terrible, so then I brought my Eternal Strider (basically the same pet as the Mirror Strider) out to fight Carroteye, and I used the same strategy.

Pump > Cleaning Rain > Water Jet > Pump

My Eternal Strider had a fair amount of HP left when Sloppus came out, but since Aqautic damage doesn't do so well against Magic creatures, I just cast Water Jet a few times to eat into Sloppus's HP.

You'll have a debuff called "Stench," which means you have a 25% miss chance, which is kind of annoying. When your Strider dies and you bring out your Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling, you'll want to  cast Breath except when Sloppus is about to "Chew" on you, where he gain HP from eating you.

It's a two-round ability, so when you see that Sloppus has a buff that looks like a sheep, you'll want to cast Decoy to avoid the chomp and Sloppus's heal. Then, you'll just cast breath bunch until Sloppus is dead.

My Dragonling had about half HP (or maybe a little more) when the battle was complete. Definitely not a hard team to fight if you have some Striders in your stable. And they're really easy to get in Mists of Pandaria content.

And then, of course, Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling comes in for the win at the end. I'd rate this pet as one of the most important in my entire collection. His combination of attacks is just superior in so many fights.

Do you have an alternate team? Have you found a good pairing to level up a third pet?

Happy Anniversary World of Warcraft! Get Your Gifts Now!

Have you gotten your World of Warcraft 10th anniversary goodies yet? Blizzard has simply offered a Feat of Strength and an in-game mail for some of its other anniversaries, but they've pulled out all the stops for this 2014 celebration.

When you log into the game for the first time during the anniversary, you'll get an in-game mail with a few words from Blizzard, as well as the MOLTEN CORGI! A seriously cute pet. As you can see above.

Secondly, Blizzard is also giving everyone who returns to a level 90 Molten Core (complete with curses I can't get rid of, thanks you useless Mages, Druids, and Shamans!) a core hound mount, which is pretty awesome, just like the corgi:

You'll also get a feat of strength associated with logging in during the anniversary. Don't worry, you have several weeks to celebrate the anniversary since Blizzard is giving everyone a long time to get leveled up to 100 for the revamped Molten Core fun.

Of course, the item that everyone will be clamoring after will definitely be Hatespark the Tiny, which drops from Ragnaros. It'll likely be torture farming this every week because no gear drops from any of the bosses in Molten Core, and you have to kill Rag at the very end for a chance at this pet.... oy.

BLIZZARD. GIVE ME MY HATESPARK THE TINY! I NEED HIM!!!

Setting Up Your Garrison Pet Menagerie

After upgrading your Garrison to level 3, you'll be eligible to build your very own Pet Menagerie that offers you a daily pet battle and currency to buy pet accessories. In addition, your finished Menagerie will feature a few of your favorite pets hanging around each day. It's nice for them to get some fresh air, right?

To build your Menagerie, you'll first need to complete a starter quest that requires you fight three opponents scattered around your Garrison. As of this writing, I'm not sure if you'll always face the same set of pets for your starter quest, but the following pets are the battles I faced (perhaps a fellow pet battler can clarify if this initial quest is always the same?).

The pets you'll face are "Boss" pets that take 50% less damage and they each have a lot of hitpoints. However, each battle puts your team of three against a single boss pet, so think of these boss pets like you're fighting three pets in one.

One pet you'll face is named Gorefu. He's an Aquatic that looks like a tiny hippo. You might do well with a set of flyers against this opponent, but you can mix it up to find pets that use strong attacks.

I personally used an Enchanted Broom, a Fungal Moth, and a Gilnean Raven. The Broom will take less damage from Gorefu since it's a Magic pet, and it has a Mechanical attack that makes him take more damage.

The best way to beat him could be to stack 3 Enchanted Brooms, but I didn't have that, so I tacked on a Fungal Moth and the Gilnean Raven. Not too difficult once you get your team up and running.

The second pet you'll face is named Carrotus Maximus, and he's an Elemental that looks like a Terrible Turnip.

You'll want to try and find Critters that deal Aquatic damage so they'll take less damage fro Carrotus and deal extra damage with their attacks. This pet actually took a few tries to find the right combo.

I first tried using a 3-snail team with Acidic Goo + Dive. Unfortunately, Carrotus Maximus has an annoying ability called "cleanse," which sometimes removes your Acidic Goo. I tried a few times with a snail team, but I kept getting RNG'd to Hellfire and back.

Carrotus also heals excessively with Leech Seed that he seems to cast with wild abandon, which means the fight can take a while.

Rather than beat my head against the wall with a snail team, I tried a frog team instead to try and out-heal the dumb turnip. Even with the Frog team, I BARELY lived at the end. RNG is RNG I guess.

Your third fight will be against Gnawface, a Critter that's a basic rat. Just bring out the spiders and scare some arachnophobia into this easy fight.

Seriously. Pack some Brittle Webbing and Swarm that little rat to death. Take a look at the HP on my team AFTER I fought him:

Once your Managerie is up and running, you'll have a daily pet quest available from Serr'ah, and one of your fights will be against Stitches Jr!!! Too cool!
